  1. Hello! I had initially the same issue with my G2 that the mask was off like Astronut had. After I enabled the mask correction in the opencomposite file, I now have this: pic It is much less annoying with than without it, but there is still some masking issues in the left eye, especially left and low-left areas of the left eye. Any suggestions how to proceed? Thank you!
  2. Thank you both very much! Its now been quite joyous to actually enjoy the VR experience in DCS. I also downloaded some shaders to make it a bit more smooth. One thing i noticed and also accidentally fixed is the following: Sometimes especially in busy airports, the frames just start dropping like crazy -> By alt-tabbing out of DCS and coming back will get rid of the spikes for some time, until it retriggers. I already did switch off smoothing since i thought its from this, but i think its not, as it also occured after. Has sth like this been happening to others as well?
  3. Ok, so I think this is actually now resolved... I had a look at another similar topic in this bugs section and its a very recent one with similar specs that i have. It was about winwing export LUA. Well, I dont have Winwing, but i had streamdeck and DCS UFC in the export file. I dont know which one it was, but when i cleared the lua, my CPU is now happy. It also made my FPS much more acceptable, from low 30s to all time 45. I dont understand at all why these exports are so bad for the CPU, but apparently they can harm the VR experience greatly, no matter what specs u have.
  4. So that i will do then Btw, this is something typical for me in MP: (the frame drops only happen when i tab out to take a pic, but normally the GPU chart is around that level w/o the drops). This CPU frametime tells quite little to me actually, since the usage of CPU is not that high in any core...
  5. Thanks for the inputs. This overclocking I will try at some point definately. The 11600k is quite crispy however so even if my watercooler can keep it cool, wanna take a slow approach to this. Meanwhile I was checking on whats going on and it doesnt seem to be too bad, I am constantly around 1-2% idle so no big hogs anywhere. I also had a look at the services, and to be hones, theres nothing extra that is 'Automatic' - Ive tried to keep my PC clean, albeit i have this logitech ghub and nordvpn, which i like to have for some reason. Soo.. I think it comes down to fiddling with the settings in SVR and DCS, and overclocking sometime soon.
  6. Im running fpsVR and it is orange and red on the CPU side. I think it might be bottlenecking me a bit - will check this when i get the chance later today, but I think it was somewhere around 24ms. It seems that whatever setup i used lead into CPU being in the orange & red. I have not OCd my 11600K, but the core boost is 4,9 ghz already. It also seemed that some others have this CPU in o&r in their videos, so I thought this is normal.
  7. Big thanks for the tip! I tested this now and got the following results in a not very busy airport in MP. 1) About 39 fps visib medium 2) About 37 fps visib high + forest detail 100% Frametimes were more than acceptable (17ms) with no skipped frames, so i actually made also DCS SteamVR 100%. 3) About 36 avg fps. Lets see if i should tune down the visib to medium and instead increase the SS a bit further, and also how it holds up in a more crowded scenario. Does it actually sound 'normal' that with 3080ti I would only have such FPS? Funny though, im not really bothered by it apparently...
  8. Hello everyone, I just recently got into using VR and DCS is the only game I am currently using it in. Before I got my HMD, I studied some notable issues and posts by users who are currently using the G2 and I've now been trying all of those setups with no real sweet spot for myself (G2 pun intended as well). For the 3 days I've had the headset, I've tried some of the trusty ol' setups from late 2020 and early 2021 as well as the more elaborate setups of BIGNEWY and speed-of-heat. I feel that I have got quite close to acceptable graphical quality with a setup close to BIGNEWY's whilst still having 35-50 FPS in singleplayer 'Free Flight' missions with averages around 45 FPS. I had NCP settings focused on Quality and 100% DCS SteamSS as the difference pretty much, no AA. I tried today MP and I initially also had something similar, but then in both darkness and when I was in clouds the frames just went to oblivion with constant frame drops, so ultimately I averaged around 25 FPS. I don't know if I have some fundamental flaw in my setup or am I doing something wrong, but I don't think 3080ti + 11600K are this handicapped to produce a clean enough graphical experience with acceptable frames. I thought to give my G2 some time to show it's claws, but I already ended up meddling with the settings for 20hrs and mostly got frustrated, so now I am a bit torn, should I continue to explore it further or not. Could anyone have a look at my settings and comment if there is anything I should do differently? Misc: HAGS: OFF NCP: WMR: SteamVR + Steam WMR:
  9. Thanks for the tip :) Although the "Game booster" didn't affect FC2 that much (atleast it didn't affect the long loading), I think it could be useful in the future, since there's a lot of crap in my computer slowing it down and future games will require more power. ...so still hunting for the solution :helpsmilie:
  10. Hello again! Here's the DxDiag. The multiplayer is much more faster: When I double click the icon the loading image will appear after 30 seconds and following it comes the MP screen with "Client" "Server" "Exit" and "Options". Joining a server is fast, since the loading screen with the HUD follows instantly after clicking "Join". Btw, the whole process of singleplayer (from going into briefing and clicking "Fly"/"Start mission"(whichever it was) to getting into the screen where you are sitting in your fighter and there's the "Press 'Pause' to continue flying" text) takes around 1-2 min, that's what I ment. ...so yea, seems it's very slow compared to your (hsth) process  Thanks in advance :pilotfly: DxDiag.txt
  11. Hello! When I start my FC2, everything runs well, but when I launch a mission I'm forced to my desktop and the FC2 shuts down. Then I must wait for around 1-2 minutes for the little "Lock on: Flaming cliffs 2.0" loading image (with the fighter diving) to appear and after that the FC2 will start loading the mission, it's textures etc. ...I would like to know what causes this or why there's this "break" - if I may call it so. I remember having similar "problem" in BS, but it was fixed somehow, most likely because of patching. I haven't yet run to an FC2 topic similar to mine, so I decided to ask if it's the same reason that applied to slow BS launch... The reason in BS, if I remember correctly, was that there were 2 different programs: the launcher and the game itself and they tended to have a small break in between before one could start... But again, the problem was fixed for me in BS, so I'm quite confused why does the FC2 then have this issue. Thank you for your time  Hope you can help me :smilewink:
  12. Possible to give a new link? Think that one is broken... Atleast all I get is some numbers and letters on my screen...
  13. Ok, I just went trough several missions and no crashes, really nice. But what about this popping back to desktop and again into game? Anything to do about it?
  14. My god! Thanks a bunch! ...I never could've imagined that a mouse would cause problems :D Thanks once more!
  15. Oh, thanks :) I got other mouses, but what about the keyboard? Is it a problem too?
  16. Forgot to add that I'm on pretty basic level in computing and scripting, so those of you who want to help, might also want to go a bit more detailed :)
  17. I've just bought the game and installed. As usual, i faced multiple problems. This time it wasn't any installation problem, but a huge amount of crashes and mission starting problem. I'm able to start the game, it usually starts without anything unusual. When I start a mission (or training or editor mission or campaign), then I'm transferred to my desktop. I can't see any clue of BS, not even any activity on the process list. Suddenly (after 1-2 minutes) a small window pops up [startImage](just like the autorun setup window, where's a pilot and his KA-50) that stays there for a while. After this, I'm transferred to game again and I see a loading window[startImage-2] that is the same type as in LOMAC, but with KA-50 style. The problem that annoys me is that transfer to desktop. Then about the crashes... The crashes can accur at several points like at the smaller loading window when transferred to desktop, at the end of the big loadingscreen (similar to LOMAC's) when its says "Please wait" and the loading 'tube' is about 2/3 and at the end of that big loading screen when its completely loaded. 5 last crashlogs: #
