Thanks. That's my recollection but I wanted to start here and confirm before I head there.

Looking for some insight. Our squad regularly has 6+ aircraft and not having much luck being able to get both forward catapults under tension for a 1/3, 2/4 launch (Supercarrier). I did a search but didn't get results on the forums. Are we still waiting for a supercarrier fix or is it considered a HB issue? I figured I start here before getting sent here anyway. Basically as soon as catapult one or two is hooked up it disables the other.

Well, we were preparing to go in Fox 1s/2s only, after the bug happened, anyway, but fighting with Fox 1s in a Fox 3 enviroment is not going to be optimal. Not to mention that my RIO is now pretty much out of a job. So we certainly take no pleasure in the situation, but I'd be happy to switch to a Viper if my RIO also gets a slot in the order that we signed up in. Btw there is only 6 Tomcats signed up on blue. Ultimately, my suggestion would be to postpone 1 week in the hope that the Nov 18 patch fixes the issue, but we will abide by what the 104th decides to do.

AIM-54 Phoenix losing track upon launching aircraft death
F99th-Rusk replied to F99th-Rusk's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Thank you IronMike. I realized it was probably on EDs side, but I figured we would start here and preemt "it's Heatblur issue" before taking it to the DCS World thread. -
I was going to post this with the AIM-54 Bug Thread, but I have not seen someone mention this behavior yet and I welcome anyone to prove/disprove our observation without getting into an argument about real life vs theoretical behavior. I think we can all agree once the missile goes pit-bull, the state of the aircraft should not matter. We were getting some TacView tracks for a tutorial were working on and in the course of 12 engagements we found that if the originating aircraft dies (killed/ejected) the Phoenix it fired will go stupid even though the missile had already gone pit-bull. We tried several different scenarios with 2 opposing Tomcats all with the same result, unless both missiles hit simultaneous. The final setup both A/C approached at FL30 Head-on, 1000kts closure rate, countermeasures disabled, blue shooting at 55nm in TWS. Blue ejected as soon as red got the missile RWR warning (at 5nm from target A/C), and sure enough the missile passed over the red A/C within 300 ft in a straight line. As a control we had Blue turn cold when the missile went pit-bull and the missile did connect. It seems to depend on if Blue was alive or dead.

I need to change my entry to reserve list. A contractor changed dates on me, and I will probably be unable to attend. My apologies for the late change. Rusk -

I may be unable to attend due to a funeral. Please feel free to sub in an alternate if I do not make it on time. -
Thank you, that looks a lot simpler than the route I went. I did indeed use Matthew's library but with a Matrix Grid. Learned a lot about the Arduino boards (soo many to choose from) as I was building it, including the limitations of the Micro, including simple things like changing the ID of the controller.
