Is this the server that limit hellfire to only 8 for the Apache while enemy armors keep spawning endlessly and coming towards you ? Lol. I stop flying in this server because of this but who cares.....

I agree wholeheartedly.It's amazing that such a big update was done and such a trivial bug is not yet fixed. -

I agree with this. I've tried DCS maximum setting just want to see the difference and was surprised. It didn't meet my expectation. There's difference for sure but no way near the difference in 2D from low to high. I could be wrong, but unless there's big change in VR tech in the future, high end graphic card just help to improve FPS and latency in VR right now.VR will never look as good as 2D. You're giving up visual quality in exchange for immersion. -
I had same problem but then I disabled windows power service and now it's gone.
Never had need this workaround before so this is something in the update ED need to look into IMO.-

Check your antivirus if you have any. It could be the culprit. Exclude DCS folder in your AV real time scanner.
Also check the mods if you have any installed. It could be one of those.

For me flying the Apache is far from hard but not enjoyable. I hate it's twitchy tail. Tuned my rudder curve little is helping but still hate it. Hope it gets better with future update.

I remember one of ED dev said after he little bit digging into Eagle manual that he found the A or C Eagle version ( can't remember exactly) has more A-G capability compared to Su-27.-

Thats beautiful picture made me want to visit Norway. I hope someday....In flying the other DCS maps I know cliffs have not been a strong suit of the franchise. Having near-vertical terrain projections with high resolution DEM has always been a dream of mine in DCS.
With the Kola map being vastly populated by fjords IRL, I'm wondering if this is a thing with this Orbx map? Anyone have first hand experience of how good the terrain resolution is when it comes to the DEM?

I have a request for those who can be bothered to make some kind of Scandinavian tour mission. Like each waypoint visiting interesting site, beautiful landscape, mountains, cities or whatever. I don't mind a long flight.
I remember back in the Flanker day (or Lomac ?) Ironhand made this kind of mission for Crimea.

I wasn't talking about your post. I was replying to the OP wish to have more Russian jet. AFAIK there's a problem with Russian law that prevents ED to make, for example DCS Su-27 (feel free to correct me about this). That's why I joke about uncle Putin.If you understood what I'm writing, you wouldn't be writing this. There will be a big surprise when the clickable cockpit MiG-29A arrives and players can see how different the FC3 MiG-29A completely partially fantasy based BVR radar mode is. Just to name a few!
Mode “V” (Vstryehchya): Encounter
Mode “D” (Dogon): Pursuit
Mode “SP” (???): Free Search
Or the SPO 15 RWR, which in Flaming Cliffs is partly a fantasy because in reality it works completely differently! This will also be shown in the fully clickable MiG 29A!
All of these are not included in the Flaming Cliffs MiG-29A! So somehow try to understand what I wrote about the Su-35, because the Su-27 is also partially based on fantasy, and I think a Su-35 light module is better than nothing!
By making Flaming Cliffs or light Su-35 five because there is a demand for it, you are not violating any law and you are creating it as the Flaming Cliffs aircraft are created partly based on fantasy, and Flaming Cliffs 3 is a successful product!
I don't care about how different DCS MiG-29A vs FC one. That's not my point. I'm just grateful ED eventually develops it.

You can use VD and
workaround. Don't forget to enable "encrypt local traffic" option in VD setting for PC . It works flawlessly on me. -

I concur. I even deactivated my windows defender. My PC only for DCS. I work on my laptop.none, game folders are supposed to be exempt,. otherwise every file loaded into memory is going to be scanned as well as processes.... kills performance.

Just want to add few things :
1. Wireless---> go for dedicated wifi 6 router
2. Wire ---> go for usb thetering. I'm too lazy for the details but you can Google it as I did. There's risk BSOD for using this method without enabling encryption ? (Can't remember the exact name). So you have to enable it in VD setting in PC.
The advantage for using usb theter over wireless is lower latency. -
I don't have SA, Sinai and Normandy and I think Syria is the most beautiful theater both from high and down low.
The FPS used to be not so great at first released but now it has nice FPS. I don't regret purchasing this map.-

It's bit hard for some people maybe because it needs improvement from ED and make it more realistic ? The other sim that can't be named did it and for me, now it's much easier refueling than before.
To OP don't give up trying. I was like you before. You need to be patient. Every time you feel frustrated just stop and try it another time. I've been playing ED sim since Flanker era. Believe it or not, I was only able to do air refueling after I flied DCS and it's not even smooth.....connect......disconnet......connect.....disconnet lol.
Keep trying and be patient, you'll get there

Be it 30%..40%...60%...realistic I honestly don't really care. I wouldn't know it anyway if it's 100% realistic. Make it believable than it would be enough for me. Bring it on ED and good luck.
