  1. Hi, I have tried this mission several times and each time (at some point) I get whacked by a missile. This happens either whilst I take on/out ground targets or hang arround waiting for the AA or enemy fighters to be surpressed. As I understand it my flight is equipped with a "SEAD package" and I read somwhere that you should not venture ahead of your flight until this has been effective. I guess I do have air support but it does not seem very good. Am I missing something here? Should I be more agressive? Or is it just a hard mission to complete? Thanks, Any advice welcome.
  2. Thanks 159th Viper I'll give it a try.
  3. 'The Other Side' Hi, I'm working my way through the early campaign missions with reasonable results (until now). My problem is with the mission titled 'The Other Side'. This is where you lead a flight over the mountains into Georgia. Flying over the last ridge is where I get into trouble. I just don't seem to have the power to get over this ridge. Eventually I get an 'Engine over speed' warning and the engine/s shuts down (and I crash). Tried it three times at different altitudes and speed. I'm probably doing something silly but I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
  4. Thrustmaster T-16000M The Thrustmaster T-16000M has arrived and first impressions are very positive. Good solid construction very precise response to movements. The stick is easily converted for LH use and my BS flying performance is much better already . This stick will do me until I can set myself up with a HOTAS. Thanks to all for the help and advice.
  5. It's true shamandgg I would also like to go fo a HOTAS system (in the future). This interim purchase is more about being able to fly Black Shark. I have not touched flight SIM for about 10 years but Black Shark is so good I have to return to the flight SIM world.
  6. Thrustmaster T-16000M Update! Thanks to all for the input. I did initially prefer the CH Pro (or Combat stick) but I was put off by the lack of rudder control (as yet I do not have pedals). I did try flying BS with my existing stick using the keyboard for rudder control but with not much sucess. Anyway, in short, I have ordered a Thrustmaster T-16000M. This stick is pretty new so I am taking a bit of a gamble but it does boast a new type of fine sensor control. I will post another update when I have tried it out.
  7. Thanks for the prompt reply Schwinn. I was looking at the CH Pro earlier today. It looks like the front runner for me.
  8. I have been into this game for a couple of weeks and have decided that my old flightstick is out of it's depth. Any recommendations for a flightstick to suit a left handed user would be appreciated. Thanks.
