  1. Sorry Strongo5, but I'm not finding that, thanks
  2. I said shaking, but flickering may be a better description. Even though I can play now like a slide show, FPS are cut to more than half. I did reinstall beta Steam VR and the beta Windows mixed reality in Steam, but didn't help. Something changed for the worst in steam, cus I had no problem several weeks ago. I'll try to deal with it in a day or two.
  3. I checked steam vr settings, & some how my per eye rez changed to 100%. Now it's playable, but needs some tweaking, & in game also. I never thought of that cus another new sim by MS was running fine. So it looks like I found the main problem, but can't get back to playing around with settings for a couple days. MY system is...Win10, I9 9900K @ 5Mz, 32gb ram, GF 2080ti, 1gb m.2 ssd. With this new forum, I don't see signature anymore. Thanks everyone for all the comments.
  4. Didn't help
  5. The last time I played, had shaking in the splash screens, but game was OK. Now I get in the game also. Happens with all modules that I tried.
  6. I checked the small screen when steam VR pops up when starting, under devices say I'm up to date. Did long repair, still no help.
  7. I play a few steam games VR, with no problem. My DCS is nonsteam though.
  8. Thought I'd try here before I ask in bugs. I haven't played for several weeks, tried today, the screen shakes like crazy, & it's unplayable in VR. The game seems fine in non-VR, & VR without using the headset. No problem with other VR games. Anyone one else having a problem?
  9. Went through all the USB stuff in device manager, didn't help. Then realized it could be the wireless KB, or trackball. Had another trackball, & switched it out, problem fixed.
  10. Thanks RedeyeStorm, I'll give that a try.
  11. Ok, time to fuss up. Problem solved with some help from SSA creator, something stupid, simple, & I'm too embarrassed say. Because I do have some USB thing going on I jumped to conclusions. I get USB connect/disconnected, & USB error balloons as I run HMD stuff sometimes during the day. Even though I hate it, It's not chronic problem, so I'll live with it. Thanks for the comments, sorry for wasting your time.
  12. I get random USB not recognized alerts. Could be a MB problem, but idk. I would hate going through all the trouble replacing it, then find out it's win10.
  13. Yes, I have the most current bios. Thanks for your efforts.
  14. Didn't help, but thanks for the suggestion.
  15. Thanks hsth, before I do that, is 2.0 folder only associated with SSA? Don't want to delete if needed for something else.
  16. Thanks BitMaster, Yes, got Chipset drivers from Asus, first thing after install. I don't know about other device drivers. Waiting for some help from the maker of "SimShaker for aviators".
  17. I have the "Realteus forcefeel" pad. The pad seems to work with no problems. Everything was working fine, then I did a win 10 fresh install. I start "SimShaker for aviators", then start DCS, & can't get a USB connect, & plus a connect error box. I tried other USB ports, & went over a list of fixes from MS. I plugged/unplugged, looking for problems, even blew air into each port. Sometimes device manager shows a yellow unknown, that I uninstall, & reboot, still no help. I read win 10 has USB problems, & I think that's the source, & don't know what else to do. Any other suggestions most appreciated. Thanks
  18. Thanks, I'll look for new one today. Didn't SSA use to auto update? When I get the new one, do I install over the old? In either case do I need to re-tick all my settings?
  19. Error mesage help Error when starting SSA, any help please.
  20. Thanks Len, I'll keep that in mind. Actually, that makes me think I have two separate problems, the sounds, & windows saying the plugged in usb device is having a issues. My wife's computer is saying that also, like it's a possible win10 error.
  21. Has nothing to do with DCS, No hubs, plugged into USB 3.1, USB power saving still disabled.. Thanks for the comments.
  22. I'm getting usb connect/disconnect sounds randomly. Sometimes when plugging in a thumb drive, or other usb device win10 tells me it's having a problem, & it's not. Thought usb drivers update may help, but win10 says the installed drivers are the best. Couldn't find anything useful in a search. Any idea of a fix? Thanks
  23. Thank you all, guess it's time to take the Reverb plunge. :noexpression:
  24. Sorry, but I'm still foggy on WMR, I need to ask a few more questions. 1. Is WMR required to use Reverb HMD? 2. With rift you launch the rift app, then from there start the game. Except DCS starts outside of the rift app not thru it. Is that similar how it works with WMR? 3. If you have a steam app, would that launch like DCS, separately? Sorry I'm being so thick headed about something so simple to some of you. Not having WMR, or even steam you could see my concern. Thanks for your help.
  25. After having oculus CV1, & S, I think I'm ready to move on to something else. HP Reverb 2 sounds the most promising, but also much confusion for me. My head is swimming as I read about WMR. Some of the discussions are over my head. Is WMR similar to oculus home? the software required to launch your games? Is it easy to work with? I pretty much play just two sims, DCS, & one other. The other one is only available at oculus store, or steam. I read I can still get it from oculus if I have their software, but once I leave oculus I don't want any of it back. So my only option would be steam, that I really don't want either. I hate being forced into joining some system just to play a few sims. Thanks for any feedback.
