  1. It’s a personal preference thing, really, and his sensitive you are to it. Keep increasing it until it stops bothering you, or the performance trade off is too high for your tastes
  2. Check your XR layer Order. https://github.com/fredemmott/OpenXR-API-Layers-GUI
  3. Pretty sure that they all use the same system and are all volumetric, but I could be wrong
  4. I believe this is due to QuadViews. You’ll need to increase your transition amount
  5. See https://forum.dcs.world/topic/313901-dcs-vr-performance-optimization/?do=getNewComment
  6. It is weird that clouds, smoke from aircraft, contrails, landing tire smoke, and explosion smoke/ debris are all volumetric, but smoke from fires isn’t
  7. Also, did you check the audio settings in the sim to ensure they were all set to the Quest Pro?
  8. QuadViews is the most current; the toolkit is no longer being g supported or updated. I use both, but I’m only using Toolkit for shake reduction and world scale adjustment, while I use QuadViews for foveated rendering. This gives me the best performance. If you do this, make sure to use the OpenXR layers GUI software from GitHub to ensure your XR layers are in the correct order, or VR may not load properly.
  9. This seems to be common among flat screen games that added VR support later in life: something about the engine not expecting the camera to be able to have 6 DoF
  10. hotplug: turn off USB selective suspend: https://forum.sienci.com/t/usb-selective-suspend-in-windows-11/10345 Foubd both of these with 30 seconds of googling. Give that a shot with your next questions, and if you’re still struggling, let us know!
  11. Remember, even if it’s “Meh” when you put it on, give it a few flights in weather, night, sunset, and mid day, then make your final judgment.
  12. Good shout: I was on my phone and couldn’t read the log. Also, make sure the OpenXR plugins are in the correct order using either the registry or this really nice tool OpenXR API Layers GUI. It’ll tell you if they are out of order. This caught me out when moving to WIN11 last month
  13. You could try a Bigscreen Beyond 2 as a reasonable sidegrade, but to be honest the boutique PC VR ship has sailed; unfortunately, it’s not super profitable at scale. If money is no object, however, maybe reach out to a retailer about the Somnium VR1
  14. Can you expand more on the steps you have taken to try to resolve this problem? It’s hard to help if we don’t know what you’ve done already. Have you made Pimax the default OpenXR runtime? DCS in VR is an OpenXR application now, so you’ll need to do that.
