IL-2, exactly. I still have that sim on my machine and its almost a decade old. I could yank and bank in that sim and never worry about real world physics.

So I finally decided to try my hand at the Mustang; for the first few days I just strafed ground targets. I got a little bored with that and wanted to do some air to air, well the problem with that is that I can't pull any real G's without the damn thing wanting to snap roll on me. I understand that this is a problem in the real world, but just like in any sim. that I've ever played, or any game that I've ever played the AI seems to be super human. I've never seen the AI in any game plagued with the problems that us humans have. With that being said, I can't get a bogey in my sights to save my life, I just go into spins. While the AI can pulled unrealistic G's. Any suggestions?

Gentlemen, I can't figure out how to assign wheel brakes to my pedals. In A-10C there's a slot in the axis commands to assign wheel brakes( right & left, or both), but not the aircraft in FC3. I went in and found wheel brakes; the keyboard command is 'W', but it wont let me slave my pedals to it. Any suggestions?

I never played around with DCS World when I installed it the first time. Now that I have it installed with CA, how do I actually operate a vehicle the CA sim.? It wants to keep putting me in the Su-25.

Okay I think I remember that now. do I use the key from my stand alone sims to activate them?

So when I installed the first version of DCS World that came out I don't remember having to do anything to BS or A-10, to my recollection they showed up in World. I just installed World 1.2.3 and they're not showing up, I still have them installed of course, but I can't access them through World. Could someone refresh my memory about this?

So I finally got time to try and upgrade to World 1.2.3; I downloaded and installed DCS World when it first came out, but I never got around to upgrading to 1.2.2. I started downloading the files for 1.2.3 this morning, but when I click the download button for the third file down the list (DCS_World_en_1.2.3.10201_147-1.bin), it wants me to log in, "authentication required". I don't remember it doing that before. What is this and how do I get around it? Any suggestions?

I've noticed in all the sims that when you are strafing a target, sometimes it can be difficult to see where your rounds are impacting especially at long ranges. So why don't you improve the splash graphics of the bullet impacts? Make the dust splash a little larger and the sparkles on the armor a little brighter and bigger. If you go on youtube and look up footage of targets being strafed, you'll see what I mean.

So I was talking with someone else and they were telling me that after they installed DCS World and the modules for BS and A10, they uninstalled the stand alone BS and A10 in order to free up space on their hard drive. Has anyone else done this?

So when I try to download the modules for A-10 and BS 1.2 it won't let me, it asks for authentication. I don't know what name or password I'm supposed to put in here. Any suggestions?

So did anyone ever figure out how to fire the Vikhrs in high wind so that it will see the laser and track? I followed Vipers instruction and I still can't get it to work.

Okay well I got back in the sim. and climbed to 13k based on what Tailgate said just to see and the weapon released just fine. I'm scratching my head, I have no idea whats going on with this weapon, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and I don't know what I'm doing if anything to cause it to malfunction. I've read all of your posts and tried all of your suggestions and I can't see difference in what I'm doing now than before.

The button is fine, it was my altitude that was the problem. I don't know why but it matters; it seems that if you're to high then you will get that alert. I went back and loaded up with 6 105s and started out at 5280ft.(just a good all around number) and worked my way down to about 2000, I didn't want to get to low be cause the default HoF is 1800ft. Anyway, all 6 bombs left the rack and deployed perfectly. I don't know that the max alt. is for this weapon, apparently there is one.

Okay so I did exactly what you said; I waited until it indicated manual release and I pressed the weapon release button. The moment I pressed the button "IAM LAUNCH ABORT" flashed, so I don't know what the problem is. I've been successful at releasing this weapon before, but I can't duplicate the results. I'm at a loss.

So I searched the forums for a thread on this and I couldn't find anything for this particular problem. So far this has only happened to me when I try to use the CBU-105. Sometimes I can drop the weapon with no problem and other times I go to drop it and it doesn't release, I just get "IAM LAUNCH ABORT". Does anyone know what's causing this and how I can correct it?

Has anyone here seen these two airstrips on Google Earth? If not I suggest you go there and take a look; all of the bomb damage is really interesting to see. Senaki even appears to have trenches and defensive positions.

I've noticed that when I fire a an AGM-65 at long range, the missile will track just fine until it gets to the target and then it will fly about two feet over the target, grazing it and hit the ground just on the other side. Has anyone else seen this?

Thank you so much, it worked. I can't tell you how long I messed with this thing and couldn't get it to work. The interesting thing is I did exactly what you said many times before I posted that I needed help on here and it didn't work. I'm thinking that it wasn't seeing my controllers for some reason. Anyway, thanks for your time and effort.

Could someone tell me how to assign my new pedals to rudder and my throttle to throttle please? I have the CH sort.

So after quite a bit of research and much deliberation I decided to make my controller setup CH Products across the board. It's a done deal now so I can't cry about it, but still want to know what other sim. pilots opinions are on the three main controller setups out there; Saitek, TM Warthog and CH. I read a lot of reviews on all three of these and despite CH's setup being less esthetically appealing than the other two, it seems to be better overall than the others in terms of quality and ease of use and its made in America. I've been using the CH Combat Stick for many years and its always served me well. So lets have it gentlemen, bias aside what are your technical opinions?
