  1. In the payload editor when I try to delete custom payload set, by choosing it's name from the list and clicking DEL button what actually happens is that the payload clones itself! And I have two of the same name and weapons. I can repeat the process all over again and I now I have list full of same payload.

Same "payload clonning" occurs when I open my custom mission with custom payload. Then I click my flight, and start clicking ROUTE-PAYLOAD-ROUTE-PAYLOAD buttons back and forth...

Payload names list is then full of clones!

It's so annoying. I have to clean my mecustom.xml file manually because LockOn payload editor is just making fun of me :D

  2. Version 1.12a

I've noticed that during mission editing briefing screen does not update correctly. - this is when all flyable planes are set to CLIENT

    It doesn't update:

    • cloud coverage, precipitation info
    • visibility - fog info
    • awacs availability
    • tanker availability
    • threats list
    • payload etc..

I'm okey with that it doesn't update threats list, tanker, awacs for multiplayer only missions. It would be even better when there's no PLAYER slot set then briefing screen doesn't print these lines (threats, package, awacs) at all.

But why the hell doesn't it update weather information? This info is exactly same for BLUE and RED side.

edit: damn it, mod move it to bug forums plz.

  3. LockON multiplayer lives on! It's just most of us go with forums and IM when arranging flights via direct IP connections instead of using HyperLobby. LockOn "performance & stability paranoia factor" makes me reduce number of running background processes to minimum. Others do the same I guess because Hyperlobby is just another unnecessary resource hog and potentional source of LockOn instability.

  4. I understand about the slow flying copter but do we need to know the guys eye color?

Oh yes.. then you can always be so cool on the radio and say! I flew so close I could recognize their gunner eye color :)

When I look at highly detailed human models I still don't get it why 1.2 will not have new A-10, F-15, Su-25, Su-27, Su-33 models! This is so unfair. :disgust:

  5. The Su-30 is considered as a Class A fighter while the F-16 (MLA/A/F) is only class B.

This is common NATO source. Wake up man.

    :music_whistling:

You most forgive Pilotasso his st*cough*ty *cough* lack of sense here, because he's looking at both planes from gamer's point of view. You won't change his mind. But is it worth it?

  6. RTFM :D

you set 2 additional timezones in joystick's control panel, and then with up/down function buttons you switch between zulu/timezone1/timezone2 clocks [1/2/3] - as long [function] is set to display time.

    That's it

  7. You'll get some "dimensional inconsistencies", like in that x-files episode where people got stuck in the ground because of a dimensional shift, caused by an X-plane. ;)

never been able to do that myself (wanted to t/o with ai wingman)

That possibly were the best "two" episodes of X-files

Remember that old indian-shaman grandma saluting and yelling "Sir, yes, sir" :D Far out

  8. It would be so much easier if each plane model would have it's own folder, under some sort of skins folder. And then you have subfolder which is named after skinname - and there you put texture files. Without all that meinit, CLSID and other BS (I dont mean BS ;) )

    f.e.

  9. i am currently experimenting with flying RH, to me it just seems so foreign.

my eye hand co-ordination is at an all time low especially trying to land.

or pulling a 90' roll for example.

i think a big factor may be whether or not you started left or right?

for myself i have flown sims LH for over +10years and that is one hard nut to crack.

    for now right it is.....

Keep practicing! Don't give up. I also flown with left hand for pretty long time until I finaly switched to right hand. You'll develop accuracy that allows you to fly tight formations and aim A2G very very well - and suddenly flying with left hand will become akward  It's amazing how well our brains can adapt, take advantage of that :)

  10. I think he was asking for those formation lights (the green strip lights). As you said, pilot controlled brightness. Would help a lot in formation flying at night. The strips are visible on the aircraft, but they have no illumination at the moment.

They are illuminated (tape formation lights), and they work in LockOn! Only on US planes though and you have no control over them. They are on by default and dissapear from view over ~200m.

Problem is navigation lights on old models are not visible over 200m.

  11. There are lots of these on planes

Navigation lights, position lights, strobe lights, taxi lights, landing lights (gear lights), formation lights (which should work with nightvision googles as well).

Su-25T is using some new 3D model format that actually has something to do with new way of drawing nav lights in LockOn engine. I'm sure we'll see these new lights on all new heli models when 1.2 comes out.

I guess you are asking for those, right?

    Form2a.jpg

As far I know these [true] formation tape lights are not visible at distances. Pilots can also control their brightness.

  12. Hey hey! I'm being left-handed and I have no problem using stick with my right hand.

Only thing I cannot do accurately with my right hand is to write, draw or aim-throw, anything else is just as easy like with the left hand. I think if I'd exercise writing with my right hand more I could as well write with the right one.. hmm. In my elementary school times I was forced to write with right-hand for almost 3 years. That was really rude. I hated them for that.

I'd like to encourage everyone who's left handed to buy a standard HOTAS and just get used to it. You'll find holding stick in one hand.. or mouse (I know that some righthanded ppl even prefer having mouse in left hand) is as easy and precise like with other hand.
