  1. I haven't been around for few days. Allochtoon, fantastic work. If there's still something about MiG-21 that you need, shout. I'll try to get it for you. I have contacts within 31stAB/3ELT and Def.Academy - I suppose they could help. Have you sorted that rear-gear animation?

Oh, and when you finish the MiG-21bis project, how about creating MiG-21FM too?

  2. Well IIRC a MiG-23 flew from Poland to Holland with no pilot after he ejected on take-off. It crashed after running out of fuel.

Lol, exactly. I just wanted to tell that story.

23 actually went into spin. Pilot ejected, and some sort of inertia and weigh shift got the plane out of spin, and then it trimmed itself. Shortly after another jet was sent to shoot down the empty plane but it didn't happen. Pilot who intercepted the plane was calling the ground control that the plane "is one of ours", but he was getting a reply "correct. plane is empty". Like I said he didn't shoot it down. Later he explained himself he couldn't find in the codebook what means "plane's empty" command.

As far I remember correctly, that MiG-23 when it fell from the sky killed a boy and his granddad who were sleppin in a barn :/

  3. I havn't played that one ggg87, but I remember LYNX on ZXSpectrum/Timex.

Although I never had more fun with any other action heli game like with those 3 games I've listed above. I skipped Longbow2 because it run to slow on my PC.

  4. Okey I installed those, but switched to classic control panel - because I find that I use the old one much quicker.

I've just played with LockOn a little, and they seem to run fine. (6600GT AGP here)

edit: WOW! It may be just me. But I believe ADV.HAZE draws much better (better quality and better peformance). I'm not sure if that bug with adv.haze has been fixed (you know, the vertical broken shading or whatever you call it). I couldn't notice it. I always saw that at Sochi in one perticular mission of mine and now I just didnt see it at all.

  5. Oh my goodness. This is for real? I didn't know someone dedicated his time for new F-14 model. Fantastic!

PS. When you'll be over with it,.. ya know.. if you like wing-sweep planes, how about F-111 family, f.e. EF-111 Raven... just ya know... for me please :P

  6. This is getting interesting. It's more then just another AIM-120 thread. popcorn.gif

Combat UCAV's are still decades into the future, and historicaly it has been a repetitive occurrence that in any new fighter concept theres always criticism to the design and theories of combat that have not yet happened neither did they verify as true as the years went by.

Well I must say I completely agree with that.

  7. This comment of mine comes a bit of my frustration with the fact that since the G-force 256 they promised live worlds with thousands of objects in screen :robot: but appart form the DEMOS they provided I have never seen it realy happen, and now they say we need a physics card for the very same things...

With thousands of 1 poly objects in screen, yes... :smartass:

  8. it's a big ass sky, it's amuzing how two pilots can manage to colide in it. (they probably watched TopGun one too many times)

You just don't know what you are talking about, do you? :bash:

Tell it to my collegue who lost his father because of mid-air collision during routine dogfight training. He didn't even had a chance to eject because he was already decapitated. Both pilots had master class, and they really didn't have time to watch lame TopGun.

    Is the Greek pilot okey?
