  1. Hi great video, very clear, but for some reason in my options I dont have SLI Rendering mode, any ideas?
  2. Thanks Peter, im pretty happy with USB monitors, i dont seems to get any issues with performance, even in windowed mode I am getting around 50fps. I will try the aero softth things that you suggested to see if I can get improvements. The main thing at the moment is I need to disable AA and HDR and close clutter. I dont really have room for a larger monitor as I have merged my driving and flying rigs together and there is a steering wheel in the way, LOL. As you can see here.
  3. Thanks Peter, thought as much, do you think this virtual GPU could be a reason why SoftTH does not work as well? All seems fine in windowed mode, but trying to use softTH to increase gfx performance a bit, results in nothing being rendered in the lilliput 8" screens.
  4. I'm just asking in this thread on the off chance that one of you may know how to do this. Basically, I have upgraded my triple screens to 3D Vision which is awesome, and I love it. I thought I would go for a little more realism by adding the cougar MFD's and lilliput 8" USB screens for MFCD export in A-10C. The problem is that I need to basically have a a single rendered surface where the sim renders the main view in one part of the surface and the MFD's in other parts of the surface, so basically it is a single render with multiple items in it. Therefore when exporting the MFD's, I can not use 3D Vision on the main triple screens. I am wondering if there is a way within the sim to export the MFD data to be rendered on a different surface maybe through a different gfx card for example, or even to a different computer maybe? Just wondering, as now I am trying to work out if I prefer 3D or exported MFD's, as I don't seem to be to do both, and of course I would like my cake and eat it.
  5. Hi Guys, Looks like im trying to do something that cant be done, but I thought that I would ask around to see if someone has managed it. Basically im running triple ASUS VG278H 27"3D monitors, where I using 3D vision surround is amazing. I thought that I would add to realism by adding two LILLIPUT UM-80 screens and Thrustmaster MFD Cougars. As others have done to make my left and right MFD's. So 3D vision is cool and also the MFD's are cool. What I cant seem to get working is 3D on the triple screen and export to the MFD's at the same time. I am wondering if anyone has managed to do that, or am I just kidding myself. BTW my graphis card is a single ASUS GTX680-DC2T-2GD5.
  6. Thanks very much, I get about 30fps at the moment which is playable, but it could be better, I am hoping that the 690 will improve that by at least 50%. Lets see then.
  7. Hi Guys, Ive been on looking on these forums for a while in reference to if SLi works with DCS World or not, but cant seem to get a definitive answer. I would like know as I am now using triple ASUS VG278H 3D monitors with a ASUS GTX 680 DirectCU II TOP Graphics card. But would like to upgrade to a GTX 690 is I could be sure that it would work. This is because right now I have to run using 3D Vision but with a reduced resolution and graphics to get any sort of playable framerate. I would think that if SLi works with DCS world then I maybe able to run at full resolution and graphics. So can someone with an SLi setup please tell me if SLi works or not? Thanks
  8. I have been using eyefinity since the first backshark with no issues, when you say it does not work can you be a bit more specific. Normally all you have to do is select the right resolution in the gui comfy page. You may also want to adjust your field of view in the view. Lua to make to bigger number a big bit bigger.
  9. But with the ATI 6970 card it is not noticable, with the gtx 680 it drop to from 40 fps to about 20fps, quite a big drop
  10. As an update. I think it is sim related as opposed to gfx card or drivers. As today I just upgraded my gfx card to an ASUS GTX 680 direct CU TOP which on reviews was getting about double the performance of the 6970 and it is exactly what i found in the sim. This is probably the best gfx single GPU graphics card you can get, and on the same setting as the previous card I am getting about double the fps, at around 38 fps average. Biggest difference with the nvidia is that fps does seem to drop in and around built up areas.
  11. tried no mirror and no real difference. but just noticed your setup is a little less demanding than mine. So I think that although yours is playable it is still not good for the system you have. Your system is rendering 3200x1080 = 3,456,000 pixels My system is rendering 6048x1200 = 7,257,600 pixels your GPU is pretty much the same as mine, but rendering less and so your FPS is higher, so I think that you get double the frame rate as you have about half the pixels. But both of our GPU's should really have no issues, as they are not that old. So still on the track for what is making so many demands on the GPU. Is there anyone with a similar rendering resolution with nVidia GPU that could tell me what their performance is like?
  12. I have forgot about turning off the mirrors, will give that a try tonight when I get home.
  13. This is an interesting thread as I am seeing some things like this that i posted on a different thread but might be worth posting her as well. My system is getting around 22 fps average at the moment. This is my system: i7 980x @4.5GHz Hyper threading off. 12G DDR3 at 2001 MHz EVGA Classified SLI Motherboard ocz revodrive x2 pci-express ssd as my disk. ASUS HD 6970 DirectCU 2G GPU@980MHz Memory@5800 Triple Monitor Eyefinity with 6048x1200 resolution TrackIR 5 CH Products fighterstick, pro throttle and peddles Can think of any other relevant info My graphics setting are all on high, with HDR,MSAA and TSAAA turned off MY CPU Load is total is about 8% with activity on 3 cores on at approx 30%, the other 2 at about 15% My GPU is maxed out at 99% all the time. It seems to me that my GPU is being the bottle neck. Have tried all the graphics to minimum and that gave max of 30 fps. Seems something is really loading the GPU a lot but cant work out what it is, the older versions I had a bout 10fps more on all settings
  14. I think as my cpu is not loaded very much and gpu is at max load, and changing graphics settings doesnt seem to change things too much, I would like to try and understand what work is done by the cpu and what is dont my the gpu? anyone know?
  15. What is your screen resolution, graphics settings and fps please?
