  1. Got my cougar down from the loft to have ago at flying again now I have more time on my hands. I have discovered that after 3 house moves I have somehow lost S2 and S3 buttons (the round red ones) TM no longer stock them as spares :( anyone got a buggered stick or an ex-project where you have the buttons available :) or any suggestions for alternative? Ta Dave
  2. Unable to download from either of the 2 mirrors, they keep timing out with can not find server. *Fixed*
  3. The problem with your poll is that those that are selecting the I'm happy I have had no problems are the ones that are not having to do another re-install for what ever reason, would they be ticking the same if they found they had to re-install and kiss good by to one or more activation tickets? I don't understand how this problem could have got passed either ED or SF surely part of their testing involved multiple installs on the same machine to check the quality of the protection, which leads me to believe that this problem was known about before the product was released for download, even if they say a last minuet change to the software or protection is responsible for the error why wasn't it re-tested prior to release? I have held off from buying FC simply because I thought there may have been some problems (because ED are newbies at selling stuff) and SF do not have a good rep as a stable copy protection system, plus ED have chosen to ignore repeated requests for an official announcement on what is the procedure for anyone who has purchased FC and used all their activation tickets, they should have been able to answer that on the first post asking the question, because they have got to have planned for this type of situation as part of the decision making on what type of copy protection they would be using, because SF would need to build in the ability to add extra tickets to the end user, so why have they stalled in answering what is a very important question from the end users?
  4. I don't read anywhere where he is saying FC is incomplete, what I do read though is him making a general statement about the gaming software industry as a whole! they will be when everyone has their own interpretation in what the speaker has tried to convey, you seen his post as meaning one thing I see it meaning another, does this mean we are at odds with each other :)
  5. Only a guess but by stating it is an unofficial addon Ubisoft get nothing from it, if it was an official addon then you can bet Ubisoft would be after their cut?
  6. If it works anything like Microsoft's set-up (had to ring them twice to-date because of hardware changes) there should not be a problem......but....I also had a friend that had an OEM copy of XP when he decided to upgrade (used some bits from his dell) his XP stopped working and when he tried to get it re activated he was told the OEM was licenced for one computer and as he has upgraded that much his computer has changed to the point that it is now another computer, they would not re-register his copy he had to purchase another retail version. ED need to clarify exactly what the procedure is for those users that upgrade regular enough that they will use their 3 registration options. They should have something in place like Liveforspeed where every month they give you another registration ticket so in theory if you did an upgrade and only had 2 registrations left after a month had passed you would get credited a 3rd (max 3) to your account, which would be enough for the average computer upgrade.
  7. Why didn't ED take this opportunity to call the game SU-25 Flaming Cliffs, make it back-wards compatible with Lock-On then they could have found a distributer in the West without breaching their current agreement with UBI, I know it would have been a sneaky way of getting around it, but I'm sure it would have worked :D
