  1. The Ka-50 solves this problem by removing the blades on ejection. If you can find anything in the wreckage, you deserve it.
  2. Thanks for the suggestion. I wish it were something so simple, but these are both basically clean installs of windows, with nothing but AVG . Disabling it doesn't help. I've got the patch from different mirrors in both occaisions, so I don't imagine it'd be a bad patch.
  3. I load the editor, make a single helicopter with me as pilot, and go to save the mission, enter a name, hit Ok. The editor locks up, and when I tab to the desktop, I see this: The bizarre thing is that I've installed BS on two separate computers, one with Win7 and the other with XP, and in both cases it does exactly this. In both cases the game is installed to C:\BS I looked up me_traceback.lua, and it is exactly where the path says it should be and it's read/writable, so I have no idea why it can't be loaded. Edit: latest patch version. I didn't try unpatched. Any ideas?
  4. I found the solution, installing XP on my second drive just for BS. Went back to 189 drivers. But even there, the menu text flickers, and sometimes the menu screens blank out to weird colors. And the game can still CTD when ending a mission. It's not a big problem, but come on. This forum is full of the same issues suffered in Lock On. 3 computers so far, and the series has always had problems. Why is this so hard? Almost everyone uses some midrange Nvidia or ATI card, and new drivers are supposed to be better, not worse. And already 20% of people use Vista or 7. The IL-2 series runs on a Voodoo 3 in Windows 98 with no glitches or instability. No other game I play had an issue with transition to 7 (except for the one that expressly did not support it). It's not unreasonable to say there is bad programming in DCS. I really hope these things get sorted out in further releases.
  5. I have the same problem of loading to white screen. WinXP64 Pro GTX 275 with 191.07 (latest) Is there any particular driver I can try? To give more info: After a reboot, the game will load properly, once. However, when trying to actually start a mission, the game locks up at the loading screen. I did manage to load an instant action mission on one occasion, but the screen flickered for a while, and the game eventually crashed. Then, any further attempt to run the game, I get a white screen, whether fullscreen or not.
