  1. I am having the same problem but do not have any other controllers plugged in. I am using a Black Widow joystick with a throttle and rudder control built in. Could it be the rudder or throttle axis confusing things. Anyway, how come it all works fine in training? I am on Win7 32bit. not sure if that is causing an issue?
  2. patched but still having trim problems I patched this evening and tried the old and new trim method. I now hear the click when pressing T but I get no apparent trimming effect. I was trying the altitude mission. I take off put the nose down to accelerate and try to trim this but nothing happens. Also if I gently center the stick the heli will roll right over on its back. I want to try and get some forward stick trim but nothing appears to work. I am on Win7 32 bit. Not sure if this is a problem? I have attached a track of me trying to forward trim and the roll back when I center the stick. Any ideas? no trim.trk
  3. will do the patch 2nit and see if it fixes things Thanks
  4. will update and check. I have the same key bindings in simulator and game (T on keyboard and joybtn 3). Both work in training, not missions. Hopefully patching will sort it.
  5. Don't get any sound when pressing T even when it appears to actually work (in training tracks). Should there be a sound? Is there any indication (gauge or switch/light) in the cockpit to indicate if the trim has been pressed/activated? I use RCTL+ENTER and can see the calibration change of the display when it works. Thanks
  6. noticed my version is version 1 and is not patched. Could that be a problem. Just checked everything again. Easy avionic and flight are NOT ticked in the options, tried it with and without the tick box for use these settings on all missions. Even tried editing the mission file and in mission options ticking the things i want and leaving easy avionics and flight un ticked. Saved and ran the file and again no trim. however, if I load up a training mission i have trim so its cannot be a joystick calibration problem. I edited the training mission to look at the specific mission options and they are the same as what I edited the other (convoy) mission file. Why can there be this difference. I clearly get trim in the training tracks as I can see the adjustment (in the trim data display - RCTRL+ENTER) after pressing T. Is this a bug. Maybe I should patch. Where do you get the options for the different trim methods in 1.1? Thanks
  7. yes I had ticked the box saying use these settings for all missions. Even then it does not work. I get load up a training mission, use trim fine. Quit that mission and load up a proper mission e.g. the convoy hunt, then the trim doesn't work! Any ideas?
  8. Him I have trim working in training missions but not trim in the real missions. Any ideas? I think I am using the real flight model and no easy avionics. Thanks Mark:mad:
  9. Hi All, I am using real flight model and no easy avionics. I get the trim working fine when I take over the training missions but if I quit the training and start a real mission then I have no trim function working. Why is this? Am I doing something stupid? Thanks Mark:cry:
  10. trim works in training mission but not real missions I have reverted to the real flight model and turned off easy avionics. I get the trim working properly when I take over control in the training missions. However, when ever I start a proper mission the trim does not work. I use RCTRL+ENTER to display the trimming info and it definataly does not work. I have double checked to options and ticked use these preferences in all missions. Any help? thanks Mark
  11. on the subject of trim While talking about trim can I ask if it is possible, necessary to trim while in the easy flight mode?
  12. Been using the easy flight model recently while I find my way around. Not sure but it appears that trim has no effect in the easy flight model compared to the real model. Is this right? Switched to easy model as often got the choper waving all over the place when activating auto hover. Would often slowly approach an air field, activate the auto hover before gradually descending to land but when I press LALT+T it often rocked and swayed all over the place, often hitting the ground. Any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong. Would much prefer to use the real model as the easy is a bit too easy. Maybe I messed up the trimming? Do people regularly reset the trim (not just trim but completely reset) Any advice much appreciated. Thanks Mark
  13. Is it me or does the wheel beak not really work that well. If i put the cyclic forward a bit to start a forward roll then apply the wheel brake it does not really stop me.
  14. worked it out now. Worked it out now. Thanks
  15. Hi all, just got black shark and it looks good. Just run some of the tutorials. When I take control I do not have any control over the collective with my joystick throttle axis. However, when I enter instant action, the throttle does control the collective (I can even see the level moving in the 3d cockpit). I appears that the instant action uses the easy avionics. Could this be my problem? In the options I have selected easy avionics but real flight model. Looking at the control options in the list I select collective up or down and there is only an option to map joystick buttons, not axes? Can anyone give me a clue to what I am doing wrong and how I map the throttle axis to the collective? Thanks Mark
