Hmm, tried safari but it refuses to load the DCS main page. I'll try again tomorrow and come back with results.

Thanks! Using it in IE 7 seemed to fix the problem. Apparently, ED hates Chrome and FireFox :( Edit: A new problem surfaced, now I can't download DCS: A-10. Every time I log in the server needed to download the game (correct password and username and then email for anonymous log in) any both methods fail. Any pointers? PS: I am still using IE 7.

I keep trying to log in to the DCS homepage but every time I enter the correct password and username, the page simply refreshes. Once I click the 'forgot password' option, I am suddenly logged in but when I click 'payments' , I am logged out again. Any help?

I don't understand, we have a high fidelity simulator and you're complaining that the graphics are outdated? I feel it's stellar for what it has already done and the graphics are quite good. Hell, DCS: A-10 runs better on my PC than 'Mount And Blade' and that's saying something. It's hard to compare simulators to say, games like battlefield 3. Especially a game so big in scope and focus that I'm worried that many features (like cross compatibility between modules and even a lot of new future modules) will never see the light of day. I can understand the want for a better product, but given the circumstances and even so, I believe it's already the best there is, bar none.

Thanks for the answers guys. I wasn't yanking the stick around, I'm pretty sure of that. I'm pretty certain that it's the load on the warthog that made is less maneuverable.

When I jump in in quick play (if that's what it's called) mode, I hear sounds whenever I try to make even small turns. I'm not flying too close to the ground so what's the problem? I also noticed that, at least from what I've seen on youtube, that the A-10 is quite maneuverable. However, it's quite 'stiff' for me.

I pre-ordered dcs A-10 and downloaded it during the beta stage. I'm not sure if I'm running the 'full' version. I don't recall downloading any updates. How do I go about updating Dcs A-10 to the latest version? Thanks.

While I haven't bought the A-10 module, I'd say I choose the A-10(Arma 2 counts right?:smartass:) They'll never see me coming.
-
Either way it's a win-win for me. I do wish that they would put in harriers though, it would be quite fitting.
-
Which would you rather choose if you were offered only one module, and why? Sorry in advance if there are already threads like this. The search engine did not turn up any results that were in the first four pages.

I bought DCS:Ka-50 before without the joystick and found it a major hassle to wrestle control of the gunship every so often. It was hard to make small adjustments without veering off course. I didn't have much time to learn the systems of the Ka-50 but I was content in arcade with realistic settings(wind turbulance ect.) My question now is, will I be able to enjoy DCS:A10 with a joystick such as the logitech 3D pro or Cyborg FLY? Which stick is better? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've had some experience with a previous simulation called DCS: Black Shark. There was much memorising for me to do. While I didn't really mind, I felt that the game felt very flat without a joystick. I'm planning on purchasing a joystick soon, so that won't be a problem. However, how much time is required to learn the basics of flying and shooting of DCS: A-10 as compared to the KA-50?

You could try sending a private message to Snacko or WH Boomer. If that fails you can always email war_hawks@war-hawks.net. Hope this helps.

Perhaps the questions will stop coming when the apocalypse arrives, either that or when reading stickies become mandatory.
-
Thanks EagleEye, I'll be sure to check it out.

The game hasn't arrived yet so I'm trying to figure out how to pilot it now.I'm guessing it will take away some bewilderment when trying to fly the black shark.
-
I see, where can I find videos of proper start up procedures?
-
I've seen two different videos of how to start a KA-50 up.I downloaded one of them from the DCS website and the other I watched on youtube(developer notes).I notices that the start up procedure was quite different in both video. In the video on the DCS website I noticed the trainer did not even open the engine cut-off valves. Are they both correct?

I second that.

There are a lot of interesting aircraft I'd like to fly.The MI-24, V-22 or MQ-9 would be fantastic.

I'd like to thank all of you for giving such informative and helpful replies.I have decided to purchase the DCS:Black Shark for now and get the A-10 module at a later date. Thanks for the help and the warm welcome.

I'm relatively new to simulations and was wondering which module would be better for me(I'm aware that the A-10 module will take some time to be released but I am willing to wait.)I have a couple of questions concerning the two games. Is the A-10 module going to be improved in any way? Are the two modules compatible? What the the average time needed to fly(combat not included) either aircraft properly? Any light on this would be sincerely appreciated.
