  1. Interesting, thank you! And is that a local aoa on the right or a true one?
  2. Thank you for the info! The picture I used is from this document Also attached it to the post just in case The analysis is generally focused on the F-4J, however: Hopefully, the paper will be useful When it comes to the AOA, it would be interesting to see some true AoA numbers, I'd assume that there should be a formula to recalculate local aoa (or even units) to the true one. Just as an example - a formula for local-to-true aoa recalculation from MiG-23ML FM Speaking of 19 degrees departures, perhaps those happened when a pilot missed to see that the aircraft is flying with some degree of yaw? The 3 degrees difference between hard and slatted wings is an interesting piece of information. It would be great if the hard wing version aoa could be determined at least for some best case scenario a101646 (1).pdf
  3. In the game we have the datalink toggle in the "on" position, hehe IRL the DL was planned, it's just that the USSR collapsed before the plans were fulfilled Seems like DL was installed into Su-27s in the first place, but still, not all of the 27s managed to get it before 1991
  4. Well, I wouldn't really pay much attention to this questionable hurt fairy tale creator. The gun problem was fixed eventually. Anyway, it's flight performance and guided weapons is of interest, not its gun
  5. Thanks for the graph! Is there any chance you know how much is 30 units in AoA? That would be local aoa, of course, but perhaps there's some way to recalculate it into true one? Just for example, the MiG-23ML measures local AOA and recalculates it into the true one using this formula Am is true aoa, Aф is the local one And another question. What happens if you pull over 30 units? Will that lead to immediate departure or is there any safety margin?
  6. I have a question that's somewhat related to bfm performance of the phantom. At what angle of Attack does a slatted phantom stall? Just for example, here's the graph for the pre-slatted version, you can see that the aircraft stalls at around 23 degrees of aoa. So, slats should've improved the alpha capability of the aircraft. But how much? As far as I know, manuals use "units" which is, eh, super helpful. Perhaps someone knows numbers in some proper measurements?
  8. It was also supposed to display datalink the same way Su-27 does
  9. Hopefully, right after F-16 cockpit in russian
  11. Welp, there is at least "practical aerodynamics" for the Su-24 available (non-M version though)
  12. Even though 27 would be nice to have, REDFOR really needs Strike aircraft in my opinion. Something like MiG-27K or Su-24 There're platforms that can into a2a, even though those are FC level. But There's literally nothing in terms of a2g planes. Except of 25 And 25T, of course, but their speed makes them of limited use for so many types of missions
  13. Hmm, well, both 29 And 15 had been in the game since forever. The 15 had been the least, eh, discussiable even before 29 entered pre-order. Just curious if that's due to the lack of a2g capabilities F-16/18 have. I do get why it's a highly awaited plane for those Who enjoys a2a in the first place though
  14. Просто шиза
  15. I wonder why the 15c seems to be the least popular of the announced planes if we count popularity by posts in each aircrafts (29, 15 And 35) sections of the forum
