Hi I have not done much experimentation in FC2 as you guys...but online the Split-S works very well..because in the Su-27 you have only 4 R-27ER missiles which have very low pk against low flying targets while others carry 8 or 6 active missiles.I personally have had no luck with any other maneuvers to be honest also most servers have kill Messages on so this gives a huge advantage to F-15,Mig-29 who fire and turn away and wait for kill message to pop up. Hi I know that in Lock-on the speed of missiles is affected by altitude but does the speed of the aircraft also effect it and in reality would the speed of the aircraft have a considerable effect on the range of the missile also would a rail launch or drop launch have any considerable impact on speed. Lastly if this is not currently modeled or simulated in Lock-on is it a feature in DCS.Thanks.

Today was the roll out of the first prototype of the Naval Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) for the Indian Navy.

I used to have the exact same problem in FC1 I solved it by setting affinity using task manager to just one CPU for Lock-on. I have the intel i7 920 too but now in FC2 i don't have to do this but you could try it out.

Today in my city 2 kilo submarines bumped into each other while entering a naval dockyard and luckily no one is hurt but one of the subs rudder was damaged this happened because the engine of the sub in front failed. My question is if a Subs engine fails while its deep in the ocean can it recover to the surface and be towed?

I'm not so sure I would rather not get into a fight and drag you in a direction away from the strikers maybe make you waste a few missiles on me but if you go in their direction I can warn them and they will have enough time to take cover and now I will be behind you while you are searching for low flying strikers.At least that's the basic plan lol.

Well I mostly play on the 104th server where its Glendsik VS Sochi and soon it becomes Krasnodar Center vs Maykop...but as everyone knows there are some people who will chase you all the way to your base with no intention of going home so I need to keep that in mind and have enough fuel to deal with it.

Well honestly I hope they don't:smilewink:...but if I'm flying a Mig-29S alone in a crowded server I would like to have the comfort of knowing that if anyone chases me I can make it back to base full burn also If the server is not that full I can chase people for a much longer time.

Well lately while protecting ground pounders in the Su-27 I have been trying to keep the low Mig-29's at a safe distance and lock them to try to make them use their afterburner and chase me while dragging them away from the ground pounders but if people now start using this new load out In FC2 it wont be a very good tactic because in game people won't get rid of tanks when in combat because I guess it does not give them that much of a loss of performance as it would in real life that's the main point really.Thanks for the informative replies.
