Hi guys, I am planning to modify (or actully make a new one) my T16000M stick. I had the stick for more than 5 years but it has started making noise now (as you know those plastic ball joint structure don't last long). :joystick:
However the sensor is working perfectly as it is contactless. So it makes me thinking to make a metal one, which should last long and I can have extented length, adjustable reture force etc.:smilewink:
I did a search online and someone did a extentsion on it without changing the ball joint. I think this will shorten the lift span as larger force will be applied on the plastic.
Have any of you tried similar thing before and any suggestions?
In order to use the old senser, I guess it has to keep the same movement as it was in T16000M and the same 2.5mm distance between magnet and senser (please correct me if I am wrong). I have done the CAD design for the stick. I am also going to make a level for the throttle has the accuracy was bad and rearrange the buttons.
If anyone know the gap between magnet and senser, maximium moving distance and angle of T16000M, that will be very helpful. Also is there anyone know how to design the cam profile of the arm which provide return force?
