As a work around, you can just open the mission in the mission editor, and then select Fly Mission from the menu. That allowed me to at least fly the training mission with the Radios working. This is a strange bug. . . when you issue a radio command, your character doesn't even speak. If it were just the wrong freq, he'd just be speaking to the air and no one would respond, but with this mission for some reason he doesn't even attempt to transmit. :joystick:

I was able to successfully get DCS World to run (albeit horribly) on a Dell Poweredge 2950 using ESXi and hosting a Windows 2008 R2 VM for my dedicated server. The trick is to enable Video hardware acceleration and bump up the video ram in the VM Settings. This may be slightly different for VM Fusion or VMWare Player but the general idea is the same. Note: It probably will not run very well.

I believe I experienced something similar to this issue this morning while playing a Create Fast Mission. I could not for the life of me seem to be able to locate a column of tanks visually with the A-10C TGP. I got the coords from the JTAC and slewed my TGP over the target area, and did not see any vehicles at all. I spent some 30 minutes more slewing around (eventually even going into active pause mode to see if I could find it while not moving). No luck. Finally I looked on the F-10 map, and found the targets there, and then entered their exact Lat Long coordinates and set a waypoint. Still nothing. Out of desperation, I told the JTAC the "contact" radio command and my guy said "Contact Tanks at coordindate". The JTAC confirmed saying That is your target. THERE IS NOTHING THERE! I noticed that the target area contains a hill and I believe that the vehicles spawned inside the hill (bug). Has anyone else experienced this?

K. I guess I hadn't noticed this until now. I will check/update my keybinding. Thanks! Edit: Works now, awesome! Also thank you ED for fixing muh FBB trimmer. Now I can fly!

Has anyone else noticed that the radio menu for the KA-50 only seems to work if you are on the ground? Once I take off, the menu options disappear. The A-10 is working fine. . . it is just in the shark.

.Net API Wrapper For Logitech G940 LEDs
MajkStone replied to MajkStone's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
For those of you that aren't using 64 bit OS yet (you should upgrade), here is the the 32 bit dll. To convert it do the following: Go into your project configuration and set it back to x86, build it, and then put the new dll into the debug\x86 folder. JoystickSDKDemo_x86.zip -
.Net API Wrapper For Logitech G940 LEDs
MajkStone replied to MajkStone's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ok so I realize that it has been over a year and a half since my last post on this, but I got busy and never got around to finishing the wrapper completely. I do have a proof of concept, and any .net programmer should be able to pick it up and do whatever with it. I'll go ahead and share it with everyone. Please note that for this program to work, I had to modify the source for the C++ Logitech SDK Demo (wrapped the functions for .Net), so I have included the DLL in the project as well. Again I am not certain of the legality of this, and all of these files are subject to the Logitech Terms & Conditions, etc etc. Anyways, you'll need VS 2010 (or VB.Net Express 2010), and .Net 4.0 to run it. It is in VB (ugh I know), but should be easy to convert to C# :) Logitech_LCD_Controlpanel.zip -
Just wanted to say that I love <3 these games. Thanks ED! You guys rock.

.Net API Wrapper For Logitech G940 LEDs

Yeah I've used this before, but morg said he lost the source code for it. It was his program that inspired me to do this myself :) -
.Net API Wrapper For Logitech G940 LEDs
MajkStone replied to MajkStone's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Cool :) So moving forward my plan will basically be this: Phase 1 will be to release the API so that other developers can use it in their programs. Phase 2 will be to create a user friendly application that will allow anyone to map the LEDs to the LUA output from the games. I intend to make this as customizable as possible and to work with the outputs from Blackshark and Warhog, and possibly from FC2. -
.Net API Wrapper For Logitech G940 LEDs
MajkStone posted a topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I was just wondering if anyone else would be interested in a .Net wrapper for the Logitech G940 C++ SDK. Basically this will let you control the LED buttons on the throttle using .Net applications (C# and VB.Net), and skip the arduous task of writing it all in C++. I've been developing an API wrapper for this purpose for a while now and figured I'd share it with the rest of you guys if anyone was interested. It isn't finished quite yet, but shouldn't take much longer. Eventually I intend to write a few additional components that will connect the API with DCS (both Blackshark and Warthog). This will allow anyone to run the application and have the G940 react to the games. I could use some ideas about how to write a flexible system so anyone can take this and set it up with their own button layouts, etc. Also, I am not sure about the legality of sharing this, as it does use logitech's intellectual property (I.E. their SDK). If anyone knows the laws/rules in this matter please let me know. :) :joystick: -
hmmmm I never even saw this post. Can you guys attach an announcement or put this in the patch notes as well?

I receive a few lua errors when the game loads. This usually repeats 3 times, then skips it and loads the menu. I did forget to uninstall my mods before upgrading >_< Perhaps I need to reinstall the game now? Or is there an easier way to fix this?

Hello. I have been looking around the internet for some USB hardware that could be adapted to Black Shark. The goal is to keep it as inexpensive as possible, but still do the job and possible look right. Awesome Site with a lot of USB Keypad/switch devices: http://www.xkeys.com/index.php Flight Simulation Section: http://www.xkeys.com/utilization/new1flight.php

This is *the* most realistic combat flight simulator (and probably just realistic flight simulator) created for the general public to date. It is extremely moddable, looks amazing, and has almost every detail modeled extremely accurately (IMO anyways). I had been waiting for a game like this since Jane's Longbow 2, and I love it :)
