jers Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 NOTE: These haven't been approved by the DCS file mods yet, so keep checking these links! Operation Kano part 2: http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/249088/ Bad weather makes life difficult for your AFAC and your CAS flights alike, and you may run into some unexpected aerial company... regardless Gadauta must be taken and it must be taken tonight lest the insurgency is able to fortify their Northern positions. Fighting anti-air and aircraft is hard enough, but now you must do it while also fighting the rain, low clouds, wind, and the awkward time of the morning when NVG's are a bit too much, and eyeballs are a bit too little. This mission is HARD. Make no mistake, you also have limited supplies via the new warehouse system, so you have to make every maverick count. An AFAC isn't necessary, but will make your life easier. Operation Kano Part 3: Morning Ambush http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/249089/ Things went so well from Operation Beachball that we advanced the timetable on taking Sukhumi. Now we have to pay the price for our overzealous push. F-15 CAP, Ka-50 SEAD/DEAD, and A-10 CAS all in one mission. Your efforts in the poor weather yesterday paid off as our troops were able to capture Gaduata without a shot. Wanting to take advantage of the momentum command continued pushing toward Sukhumi as part of our advance west to push rebels out of the Caucas Mountains. However the enemy was planning a trap as one of our northern patrols found enemy troops advancing to our position on our northern flanks attempting to take advantage of our overextended forces. To make things worse, enemy forces have setup an anti-air hardpoint inbetween us and our ground forces attacking Sukhumi, preventing us from reinforcing them. Our mission is to secure our northern flank and assist ground forces pushing into Sukhumi in that order. Part two is A-10C only with an AFAC role. Part three is a multirole including F-15's doing CAP, A-10C's doing CAS, and Ka-50's doing SEAD/DEAD. The Ka-50 is really optional, but having a Ka-50 player will make life easier on the other two.
Toothcake Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 (edited) It looks like there's a bug with the LAU-88 and the RM that keeps hawgs from being able to load more than a single maverick per station; it works fine with unlimited munitions ticked though, which is odd. If you can get over that particular tedium, it's a really fun mission. Awesome job integrating the Ka-50, the positioning was really fun and interesting. Hold on to your butts if you're flying CAP though, 'cause damn. Kudos. Edited November 16, 2012 by Toothcake ASUS P8P67 | Intel i7 2700k @ 4.8ghz | 8gb Corsair DOMINATOR | x2 GTX 580 SLI | TIR5 | Win7 Ultimate | 90GB SSD | TM Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Pedals
Aries Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Confirming the LAU-88 bug... and once disconnected from server we were unable to rejoin the mission... (don't know if the mission causes it, but other missions don't do that)... A little tough on our Ka-50 to go for the Tunguska, and on the other side our CAP pilot complained that the AI wasn't agressive... All in all... we sure do need more missions like this one where all can make out together... Sharks, Hawgs, Eagles and the other animals... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
