It would be nice to have the option of disabling the saving of log and track files. Some of them get pretty large and it's one more thing for the computer to do while playing.

 

Also it would allow SSD users to reduce the amount of writes to the drive. (I'm sure they're pretty significant)

Logs are needed for a working mission,

and a track is just the summary of your inputs.

This has to rerecorded and written to a temp file anyway

.

And keeping this info stored until you leave the mission will not make any difference how often your RAM/SSD has to be used during the session.

If it's constantly writing to update the file it is.

My understanding is that when a log and track file is updated the SSD writes a new file. Also constant writes to SSD's are not good for it.

The least we should have is the ability to determine the location of the log and track files.

There is a way to trick windows into putting those type of things as well as internet temp files to another drive when using an ssd.
