SnowTiger Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Today I noticed an ACTION that I don't remember seeing in v1.2 called "Begin Playing Actor". Does anyone know What this does ? or How/When to use it ? I have searched the forums without any success and I have searched the Open Beta DCS World Manual. No Luck ! Backy 51 Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I think it's for Kate Upton as a topless aircraft marshaller / follow me / taxi girl ... it's a special PPV DLC of the NTTR. ;) But seriously, I'd like to know what that one is also. I don't need no stinkin' GPS! (except for PGMs :D) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SnowTiger Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 Oh if only that were true. Would have to use that Action more than once per mission !! Grimes Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Begin Playing Actor has to do with training missions. Specifically it assigns the active seat for commands, highlights, and other training mission aides to use in a multi-seat aircraft. As far as I am aware it might only work on the L-39 at the moment. Similar to the "seat locking" actions that force a user to a specific seat to prevent "cheating" when using the IFR Hood in the L-39. SnowTiger Posted October 24, 2015 Author Posted October 24, 2015 Thanks Grimes. That's good to know. Where might I have found this information for myself ? {Just so I'm not asking too many stupid questions in the future} I didn't see anything about this in the open-beta manual. Grimes Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I only found out what they did via emails with someone at ED. I'm sure they will update the documentation for it soon enough. Otherwise someone somewhere is bound to know or have figured out how some undocumented feature works. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Backy 51 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Thanks for the insight Grimes! I don't need no stinkin' GPS! (except for PGMs :D) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SnowTiger Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 Thanks Grimes I only found out what they did via emails with someone at ED. That works for me. At least it wasn't simply due to my inability to find much using the Search tools in ED Forums OR that I had just missed it in the Manual (which I also searched using Ctrl+F ... for those that didn't know you could do that !). So thanks again Grimes.
