astrospud Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Hi Pete, Further to Fransky's suggestion, perhaps incorporating a short spring behind the lock nut. this should provide relatively constant pressure instead of locknut alone. Rectum non bustus
Peter_Pilot Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 Instead of searching for PTFE sheet, why not just cut the centre out of a Wilton cookie sheet? It's not 5mil, but it might work. Great looking project BTW Thanks for the suggestion, I am all in favour of finding the "value engineering" approach like the furniture glide feet. I went to the store where I bought those to see if they had some smaller ones I might use on my cyclic stick but couldn't find anything quite right. I have not ordered any yet but I found some 5mm PTFE sheet 300mmx300mm for about 20 GB Pounds here: http://www.directplasticsonline.co.uk/PTFESheet/5mm/ Pete.

Good idea, thanks Marc, I hadn't thought of a spring, I'll consider that. Pete.

Might be worth checking Ebay, probably find some a bit cheaper than that.
