Diveplane's P-51 Sound Mods

I installed the big package by Diveplane, and took the 'Stang for a test flight.

Initially, the engine sounded robust. Lots of harmonics, low freq sounds and an impressive flyby sound. But over time, I got the sense that there is a bit of something like a jet engine, and that there were quite a few layers of sounds that didn't "fit" well. Almost as if the complexity of the sound was masking something. The prop slapping the air is beautiful at start-up, but beyond that, and especially on the take off, I got a bad aftertaste.

The guns? Ummmm, no. Sound like someone beating on a loose drum head, in another room. I recognize it from a YouTube video of a pilot in a DSC Mustang. I remember thinking then, "This thing is just plain weird." Now I know where it came from.

I used JSGME to put instal it, and to remove it. Had hopes for it based on a DoW flyer's review. Back to the default for me.

i think it is not bad

I personally enjoy Diveplanes mod, it's much better than the one that's on the user files. I installed that one and immediately uninstalled it. Only other one I would use if I could would be this one:

but i found that the gun sounds are way too quiet.
