=Mac= Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Watching traffic crossing bridges, I saw their shadows go through the bridge and onto the terrain below it. The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
Frenetique Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I observed some similar behavior of suspended structures (bridges) that actually cast no shadows and block the casting of objects below. I attached a picture of this. You have an F15C going below the bridge and its shadow is cut in half. I know it's a bit hard to see, but it is possible.
Azrayen Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 What settings are you using, guys? Try to help testers (of which I'm not) to replicate the "bugs" you found by giving as much information as possible ;)
Frenetique Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Everything was maxed out, except MSAA (8x), Aniso filter (8x), no depth of field and no lens flares. Shadows on Ultra as well as vision. My rig: GeForce 970 GTX 8Go DDR3 RAM Intel Core i7-2600K @3.40 GHz No SSD Win7 64bits I just flew below the bridge mentioned above, noticed the lack of shadows below it and my own one being cut where the bridge one should stand.
Corrigan Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Flat shadows or not? That's probably the interesting one. Win10 x64 | SSDs | i5 2500K @ 4.4 GHz | 16 GB RAM | GTX 970 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek pedals | TIR5
Frenetique Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Sorry I can't remember this parameter state in this picture :(
