rami80 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 According to the manual at 5,000 feet the aircraft has a 14.37 deg/s sustained turn rate and an instantaneous turn rate of 25.06 deg/s , while the Su-27 has a sustained turn rate of around 21 deg/s and an instantaneous rate of about 28 deg/s. The Mirage has however a superior roll rate. While dog fighting the AI and my pals I've found it easier to take down a Flanker in a Mirage than it is with another Flanker. Are the FBW and roll rate that helpful?

Actually the initial roll rate of a flanker is 180deg/s however that number increases to about 270 IIRC after a couple of rolls. Not that this is useful anyway:lol:
