I ran a mission where my flight has to destroy 4 armoured vehicles plus 9 trucks. I have 4 AGM-65E, and so has my wingman. The Group of 4 armoured vehicles is programmed for laser designation by a predator-based AFAC. Interacting with the AFAC I fired the 4 Mavericks and destroyed the 4 tanks. My wingman so far had not engaged. I then ordered the wingman to engage targets of opportunity and engaged trucks with the gun myself. To my surprise I heard my wingman announcing that he fired missiles, and found that he had killed several trucks with his AGM-65E. In the meantime, the AFAC was ordering me to attach the trucks with guns, and I do not believe that the AFAC lased the trucks for my wingman.

So, how is it possible that my wingman could hit the trucks with the AGM-65E, not having any means to target it? I do have a track, but it has 11 MB and it failed to upload (I tried twice).

Same thing happened to me yesterday.

The JTAC cleared me to depart with targets still on the ground. I order -2 to engage ground targets. Next thing I know, he fires both Mavericks with great precision on two separate targets. Magic.
