TOViper Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 Is it a problem having the F-14 in a lower version running than the DCS version? Currently my DCS.log gives me this line here: 2019-12-15 16:23:27.005 WARNING F-14: F-14 Build vs DCS version mismatch! Built with: 2.5.5.40078, DCS is: 2.5.5.40647 Visit https://www.viggen.training ...Viggen... what more can you ask for? my computer: AMD Ryzen 5600G 4.4 GHz | NVIDIA RTX 3080 10GB | 32 GB 3.2 GHz DDR4 DUAL | SSD 980 256 GB SYS + SSD 2TB DCS | TM Warthog Stick + Throttle + TRP | Rift CV1
IronMike Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 It is best to be avoided, yes. Sometimes you get away with it, but other times you might not. This is especially important for Multicrew, versions should always match and be up to date, or both on the same dcs version. In general if you update and or roll back to DCS versions as such, the F14 version will correspond. TOViper Posted December 16, 2019 Author Posted December 16, 2019 Do I guess right that a "repair" will bring all modules up to date? IronMike Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Do I guess right that a "repair" will bring all modules up to date? yes, but not necessarily to the latest version, but the dcs version you run the repair on. I think if your updater runs a check at the same time though, it will offer you an update, but I am not sure. The best is prolly just to roll your entire DCS to the desired version. If it says "it is up to date", then yes, repair should fix that. TOViper Posted December 17, 2019 Author Posted December 17, 2019 Should the F-14 version be the same as the DCS version at the current moment (OpenBeta 2.5.5.40647)? What does your log say? Not sure what you mean? If you run an update or a repair, it should be the same.
