[CHECKING] Leaving A/A mode while in GACQ leaves radar in impossible state

Recommended Posts

Posted

Steps to reproduce:

1) Enter GACQ

2) Leave A/A mode by clicking the A/A button

Result:

Radar format stays in a hybrid useless state - it's no longer in ACM (ACM label missing) yet the range/azimuth/TDC controls are still missing. Expected valid radar state can be reached by pressing the RTS button on radar format, or by switching to any AA missile and leaving A/A mode.

Expected behaviour:

Upon commanding exit from the GACQ ACM submode through leaving the A/A mode, the radar should return to previous non-ACM mode (RWS/TWS/VS/...). The correct thing already happens if you press A/A button with for example, Sidewinder with vertical search ACM submode. It should happen with GACQ too.

Now that i'm looking at it more closely, RTS doesn't work right either :noexpression:.

It doesn't restore original radar settings, like RTS from other ACM submodes does. Should RTS from GACQ into RWS/TWS even be possible?

I won't file it as a separate bug because it seems to stem from the same error.
