randomTOTEN Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 (edited) Yesterday I closed this mission upon reaching the target and just being completely unsatisfied. The briefing remarks on this mission "This is going to be my first night mission of this Red Flag, so I’ll be particularly careful to make sure I understand when and where my flight is supposed to be, and who else is in the airspace." Yet, it looks bright as day throughout the entire flight, and as I called JTAC the sun started to rise:megalol: Then my TGP was unusable! It was a complete mess! :joystick: So instead of just trying to make do I exited out in frustration. Today, I'm trying to make a list of bug reports related to this experience. So far in my estimation: Moon is far too bright when it's full. Sunrise time is incorrect.. it was rising shortly after I pushed at 0403L TGP Useless at night. Navigation Lights wrong color. Bonus bug found during testing: Global illumination dims and stars pop in about 45 mins before sunrise. I'll investigate and make bug reports when I can.. but this was just completely frustrating. This is an F-15 flight that took off just before I was scheduled. This screenshot is at 3:30am! And it isn't the city lights doing it.:mad::cry: Edited April 28, 2020 by randomTOTEN links
randomTOTEN Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 So I just tried this mission again after disabling all mods and running a repair. It still looks the same on takeoff, but for some reason the sun didn't rise as I was reaching the target area :thumbup: Thus, the entire mission was conducted in darkness, with twilight just beginning as I landed back at Nellis. What's even more strange was that I made another test mission to check the timing of sunrise (thinking I fixed it) but it still rises an hour early.....hmmm..... Oh well, mission complete.:joystick:
