Global illumination dims and starts pop in suddenly.

Though several attempts at night flight, night lighting will sometimes appear too bright (related to the moon phase IMVHO). About 45 minutes before sunrise, the skies will slowly darken, and then the star map will abruptly pop into view. This is followed very shortly by twilight and sunrise. It's very jarring, and I discovered it while trying to diagnose the problems I had with a Red Flag campaign.
