@BlackSharAce

Thank you for the files you made.

Does the old Lope.exe from FC1.2 work also in FC2 without any buggs ?

Its driving me crazy to have only 4 AGM-65 D in my FC2 payload.

The AGM-65 K is heavier than the D Variant but it is possible to take 6 of the AGM-65 K´s but only 4 of the AGM-65 D´s .

Isn´t that a little unrealistic ? I would like to correct that with Lope.exe

Thahk you for an answer

Well if you installed the extended payload mod you should have access to the agm-65D*3. I need to recheck this but according to the code it's already included:

@BlackSharkAce: Do you have any source or reference for your loadout?

I never saw and found no sources or anything else for:

- MER*6 Mk-82

- AGM-65E

- GBU-16

The AGM-65E is actually in testing for the A-10C, because the AGM-114 didn't cooperate very good with the AN/AAQ-28 "Litening AT" Pod. But that's the C-Hog. The AGM-65E is normally used by the U.S. Marine Corp..

In addition you forget the CBU-97 in your loadout, i think it is still available.

Sadly i miss the CBU-87/89 in FC 2.0 ...

Also, i don't saw ever a GBU-12 on pylon 1/11 or i think, that this is correct.

Best regards,

fire

PS: Check http://warthognews.blogspot.com/ for some corrections.

Well the Mer*6 Mk-82 is displayed on a youtube video. I'll post it if I catch a glimps of it again.

CBU-97 are not working properly and are "-- out" of the db_weapon file. So I guess they've been removed.

AGM-65E is more of a guess, some sites say yes, others say no, confusing. Same goes for the GBU-16. (Any intel about that would be much appreciated).

I need to recheck the actual flight manual about those GBU-12.

Yeah I came across this site ultiple times but it's hard to get some sharp information. If you got some feel free to give me the direct link.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm happy to improve whatever I can.

According to the research I did back when making the Triple Ejector Rack Mod, you can't load AGM-65K's on the triple rails so 2 K's would be the maximum. These mavericks are too heavy for the triple rails. Usually 4 AMG-65D's is the maximum loaded. Also I read something about the inner mavericks having a nasty habit of toasting the paintjob when launched.

Remember the more weight you put on the A-10, the less you'll be able to maneuver and counter any kind of threat. Flying light is realistic.

On the stations you put the MER*6 Mk-82, the A-10A can carry one Mk-84. A Mk-84 has a weight of 2000 pounds, a Mk-82 has 500 pounds. If you could carry six Mk-82, a total weight of 3000 pounds (without the MER), that's a lot of weight on one pylon and a lot of drag. And that's not possible ... i think.

Some time ago, i research a lot of details and systems of the A-10A/ C for my website warthogtutorials.de and i didn't found such information or pics.

Same necessary for the GBU-16 (generally) and GBU-12 on pylons 1/11.

The information about the AGM-65E, you find it online for one or check the link in my first post here. That some sites say yes, other say no, i think because it's possible. But only on the A-10C.

The CBU-97 ... what's, if you take the CLSID from FC 1.12 (or any other CLSID for a check) and put it in the db_weapon file?

And last, but not least ... can you upload or link a photo of LAU-88*3 AGM-65D? I didn't find such a pic ... only 2* AGM-65D or a mix with 2* AGM-65D and 1* AGM-65K. Thanks.

I checked some things:

-GBU-12 is, according to the flight manual, possibly loaded on pylons 1-5 and symetrically 7-11.

-3 AGM-65 can, according to the flight manual and an original old Squadron Signal magazine, be loaded on pylon 3 and symetrically 9. It's usually not the case but it can be. Not specified if K or D though.

-If I find the video showing the MER*6 of Mk-82 on an A-10, I'll post it untill now I keep this.

Well according to an original old Squadron Signal magazine pylons 5 and 7 can carry up to 3500 pounds. So considering this it is not impossible.

Update Pic:

sanstitre1su.th.jpg

Sure it's only a pre-production A-10A carrying tests but we got something at least. Still haven't found that video.

To check:

-GBU-16

-AGM-65E

If you got any info about those, your help would be appreicated.

@VJS161_Fire : What you said about the AGM-65E. Was it a guess or hard sourced information ? If you can hard source this I'd be glad to have this one mistery solved.

Keep on the good feedback guys.

@VJS161_Fire : What you said about the AGM-65E. Was it a guess or hard sourced information ? If you can hard source this I'd be glad to have this one mistery solved.

About the AGM-65E: It was hard sourced and finally, i found it again. :)

http://frontierindia.net/us-air-force-uses-agm-65e-laser-guided-maverick-missile-in-combat

The U.S. Air Force fired AGM-65E laser-guided Maverick missile in combat operations for the first time on June 14, 2007. Until now, only the Navy and Marine Corps have used the laser-guided version of the Maverick missile

And here: http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/smart/agm-65.htm

Look at "Variant" and "Aircraft".

So, you have to decide, in which year (before/ after 2007) you would place your loadout?!

I checked the GBU-16 and it looks ok.

------------------------------

But i discover something else: The BL-755 and M117.

The BL-755 could load on the A-10 but it has used by RAF (Harrier, Tornado) and some other states (not USA) only.

Do you have other sources for this cluster bomb?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BL755

The M117 is a very old general purpose bomb and has it's root in the korean and vietnam war.

In the 1950s through the early 1970s the M117 was a standard aircraft weapon, carried by the F-100 Super Sabre, F-104 Starfighter, F-105 Thunderchief, F-111, and F-4 Phantom, but at present it is used only by the B-52 Stratofortress, tactical aircraft now tending to use the Mark 80-series bombs (particularly the Mark 82 (500 lb) bomb or Mark 84 (2,000 lb) bomb and their guided equivalents). The B-52 reportedly dropped 44,600 M117s during Operation Desert Storm.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M117_bomb

So, should we use this weapon?

And i gladly repeat myself: In which year is your loadout based? Late 80s, mid-90s, approximately 2006 or today?

------------------------------

Last but not least: The center pylon (pylon 6).

Currently, you have just activated the 600 gal. fueltank.

But the hog can load bombs on this pylon, such as Mk-82/83/84 and i think, the Mk-20 too. Maybe even a MER.

Here the source: 658196426_DjwoT-M-1.jpg

I hope for a fix.

fire

nice !

gonna look into this when I'll have time form a proper fix, appreciate the feedback !

I believe it's pertinent to base the loadout on 2010, feel free not to use some weapons if they weren't in use when your particular mission goes on..

That's right ... but ok.

There are not much differences in loadouts between A-10A, A-10A+ and A-10C models.

Thoug, the A-10C can load:

PODS:

- AN/AAQ-28 Litening AT

- AN/AAQ-33 Sniper ATP/ XR

- AN/ARC- 235 FACE pod

BOMBS:

- CBU-105 Wind Corrected Munitions Dispenser

- GBU-31 JDAM

- GBU-38 JDAM

But all models can carry Mk-80s on pylon 6 and all U.S. AF AGM-65 variants.

kind regards,

fire

I found a bug.

I've installed the mod and played on the 104th public server. But i chose a standard payload (4*AGM-65D, 4*Mk-20, 2*LAU-61 HE) and this happened:

screenshot_315t9ra.jpg

In addition, i found a alternative payload for pylon 1 and 11. You can switch the ALQ-131 ECM pod and the sidewinders.

I think the file responsible for cockpit palcement is server.lua, server dpeendant.

Negative. I hosted a server/ mission and the same issue was there. But this only happens, if i chose a standard-given-payload, not a own created with this mod.

what do you mean by "own created with this mod" ?

If i build a mission and give the plane a payload, there are finished, standard-payloads. Such as these, which you can load ingame via maintenance. That are standard-given (from ED) payloads.

With "own created", i mean payloads, which i create after i installed the mod. A new, blank payload without weapons, which i add the weapons self. ... Then, it works fine.

The issue is only, when i chose one of this "ED payloads". You know what i mean? :D

here's a quick update, no time for testing so I count on your feedback.

-no more agm-65e

-mk20, mk82, mk83, mk84 and mer on pylon 6

-ALQ-131 ECM pod on pylon 1 and 11

-Sidewinders on pylon 1 and 11

paste "A-10A.lua" into your ../Scripts/Database/planes/ folder.

save your old file first !!

awaiting feedback for more improvements.
