Heli Shed Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Hi, Has anyone experienced some people being automatically banned from a server running Servman 3 RC1 even if their name / ip is not in the serverconfig.lua file? seems that over the past 2 weeks a few have been banned from our server by servman itself. I would normally post this direct to panzer to address, but have decided to post it here for others to add their observations where servman 3 rc1 is used. EtherealN Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 You actually know that software better than I do, but I remember doing some testing with Panzer of an auto-ban feature, sort of similar to the auto-kicker for teamkilling. Perhaps that one is behaving in an unexpected manner? Heli Shed Posted August 16, 2011 Author Posted August 16, 2011 Hi EtheralN. No, that safety net is fine. I have ours set to Kick a pilot for 5 minutes if he has a score less than a certain amount caused by TK's, but what i am referring to is Servman identifying that 'EtherealN is connecting - Ethereal is on the banned list - EtherealN is banned.' Great stuff huh? Trouble is you are NOT on the ban list, well, the Servman Banned list in the serverconfig.lua. Mighty strange unless Servman works with a master ban list somewhere and i didn't know about it? unlikely i feel. regards 'T' Come pay us a visit on YouTube - search for HELI SHED

HiJack Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Servman bans are saved in user folder under "SavedGames" just like the A-10C. Check that folder.
Case Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Must be Panzertard pulling a prank on Etherealn :D Otherwise it may be an issue with ping limits. There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
