Felipão Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 (edited) I’m not sure if this is a bug or if I’m understanding it wrongly. I’m playing the A-10C module in DCS World and inserting wind data to drop a bunch of mk-82s on a group of armored vehicles (custom mission). I insert all the data on the LASTE sub-page and the results are very good. Even with very strong winds, I manage to hit my targets or miss them by a few meters dropping the bombs from 7000 ft using CCRP mode. The thing is that in order to get info about the wind layers I fly the hog in different altitudes to get all the wind speed, direction and air temperature from the “wind” page. When I change my altitude, I can see the changes in wind speed and air temperature but when I insert the data for the first layer, the wind speed and direction measurements immediately become equal to the data I just inserted and they don't change anymore no matter if I’m at 1000 or 8000 feet. The only thing that still changes is the temperature. So when I insert the three wind layers the only thing that really changes is the temperature. It still works and the bombs hit their targets but is this right? Edited May 25, 2012 by Felipão
Keyser Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Yes, I'm wondering about this too. Is this working as in the actual Hog or a bug?
Felipão Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Will it help if I post a track showing the problem? I still hit my targets though. :thumbup:Laste.trk
TurboHog Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Also noticed. Not sure if bug or not. Using the LASTE page is still effective. Anyone able to comment? 'Frett'
