PeterP Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 (edited) (I know some of you will laugh - and think: Does this guy don't have any other problems?! - be assured: I have ,... Many of them!!;)- but please take a sec and think about it) Here is my problem: Gun effects at the stick are so enormous that I fear to hurt myself! :D (please observe also the control indicator) It's hard to visualize -but I hope you get a idea what happens in my wrist . I know that there is a "Shake" setting in the "Force Feedback Tune Panel" in the controller options. In the video it is set to 50. (when I set it to 100.... I can't hold it any more :P and I really break something - ) And I know that I can lower it to erase this violent shaking while firing the gun. But this lowers also the subtle nice buffeting/shaking when stalling/deploying the air-brakes/having over-speed and also the stall warning when on a landing-approach. And these effects are absolutely nicely tuned - and I would really miss them. So when I lower the "shake" to have the gun at a acceptable/believable value - I have almost no other effects any more. OK, you are right - I use a not so common combination of two MS-FFB sticks and I have overall stronger FFB than others, but the gun seems really to be "a little" overdone. I also know that there is a Eagle DynamicsDCS WorldConfigContactor.cfg TrimmerGain = 1.0; ShakeGain = 0.5; SwapForceAxes = 0; MinForce = 0.7; MinForceIAS = 85.0; MaxForce = 1.0; MaxForceIAS = 250.0; But no value is responsible only for the gun... It's always all or nothing. ...and I have a Butt-kicker - that is more than enough shacking when firing the gun. Question: How can I tune down only the Gun FFB effect? Is there a file that I can edit to lower only the Gun effect ? IMHO I cant believe that a hydraulic driven plane rumbles so brutal at the stick. BTW: It is very nicely done in the A-10C. And I heard that the gun of the A-10 is a little bigger... - there are no gun-shake effects at all on the stick- only a enormous bass over my butt-kicker. And the stick becomes stiffer at higher speeds and the stall warning is simulated. Edited June 29, 2012 by PeterP

PeterP Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) Shameless Bump! - at least it would be nice if someone would tell me if that there isn't a function like this available in the files. So I can stop searching ... would save me some time to concentrate on other things... Edited May 31, 2012 by PeterP
SmokeyTheLung Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 ...There isn't a function like this available in the files :D I haven't the slightest idea System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
