REDFOR CARGO AND TANKER (AWACS) PLANE: IL76MD/78M MODULE FOR DCS WORLD After the announcement of the C130 in both cargo and tanker versions, it would be nice if ED would consider to develop a REDFOR equivalent for cargo and aerial refueling operations. This would contribute to a better ballance between opposing forces in DCS, and overall more possibilities for logistic operations in DCS. Why is the IL76 base the perfect choise for these tasks in DCS World? The IL76 is since the 70s in constant production and was delivered to many different nations like RUSSIA, CHINA, INDIA, PAKISTAN, SYRIA, BELARUS, UKRAINE,ALGERIA, IRAN, and many more. There the plane proved its reliability in decades of intense use in many different airforces. This makes the IL76 perfect for the most versatile military and civilian missions in DCS World. An IL76 Module could be use for aerial refueling (IL78) AWACS operations (A50/A100) cargo transport, aswell as cargo and paratrooper drops (IL76). The IL76 was also used on many of the digital battlefields we have in DCS World. This and the versatile capabilities make the IL76 perfect as a possible new DCS aircraft. Data and system modelling: I hope that because of the long production time there should be many diffrent documents and databases available for the IL76. The long production time is also conductive to modeling different versions of the aircraft, as its not necessary to use the most modern (likely) classified version for refference.

Hi everyone, With the release of the CH-47 Chinook module, I would like to share with you this script that I developed a couple of years ago. I hope you like it! K-Assistant Simple Transport Script Powered by MOOSE Framework What is K-ASS: Simple Transport Script K-Assistant: Simple Transport Scrip that aims to assist Mission Designers in the implementation of a cargo management system and troop transport simple, flexible and realistic based on the MOOSE Framework. Simple- because it can be easily integrated into your missions, moreover, it is also simple to use in the game as, the menus and functions available to the players are few and easy to use. Flexible- because it tries to allow Mission Designers to build their missions without limiting their imagination too much by setting too restrictive rules. Potentially with this script you can also load static objects not defined as "loaded" in DCS onto your helicopter, for example a building or a cow ... It is up to the mission designer to decide what should be done and what should not be done. Realistic- although the script leaves the Mission Designers free to use their imagination, at the same time it binds them to a realistic approach such as, thanks to the API released in 2020 by Eagle Dynamics, for each object loaded in your helicopter, the addition of mass will be simulated relating to the load itself. Pilots will now have to take into account the mass of the cargo! To increase the realism and immersion in the game, K-ASS-STS provides a dynamic interaction system that allows, through the use of the F10 map markers, to issue commands to the ground troops transported. Forget the days when troop transport was a boring thing, now you can send your troops to assault, organize patrols and request mortar attacks! This script provides a realistic and dynamic system for transporting troops and objects in line with the DCS realistic philosophy. Given the current state of DCS, the script is primarily intended for transport by helicopters and ground units. In addition to the mere transport of troops, the possibility of assigning tasks to the transported troops is a fundamental element of the script, both in pre-planned mode via mission editor and directly in-game via the use of F10 map markers. Main Features Troop transport (land unit groups e.g. infantry, mortars, manpads, etc…) Static transport (crates) Radio dedicated menus under F10 - Other Generation of loadable troops via Warehouse Mass management - for each load the mass of the load will be calculated and added to your copter - you will like to say "the weight of load responsibility" Troop tasking after landing - Pre-planned by the mission editor or dynamically "in game" via the markers on the F10 map, it will be possible to program the actions that the troops will have to perform after landing in certain areas. Transport Mortars and call them attacks in real time Interact with DCS triggers via flag zones Quick generation of smoke markers - via Marker on map F10 or from Mission Editor with trigger zones In-game User Guides Cargo info and Cargo Manifest in game, to get information about the transported load Follow this link to download script and manual Wanna try it? Download Demo Mission!

I would like to suggest the Antonov An-12 to be added as an AI unit at some point before 2040. It is a turboprop cargo plane that has been around since the late 50s and continues to be in active military service today, as well as with a number of civilian operators. It used to be one of the mainstays of the Soviet air forces and thus would be useful in a lot of Cold War scenarios as well as a bit of flavour for those beyond.

Just watched an interesting YT vid, and discovered I got interested in the de Havilland Canada DHC-4 Caribou. It has been mentioned before, and would be awesome to land in the field if ground is simulated correctly. Here's the vid. That is some fieldwork.
