CrackerJack Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I've been flying some simple missions I created to get familiar with the F-15C. It appears that when a target is locked there is not way to specify which AAM is used AIM-120, AIM-7. I've looked at the manual but nothing there. Are AAMs selected automatically based upon target parameters? Win 10 64-bit, Intel Core i7-7700k@4.2GHz, MSI 1080Ti , 16 GB, 500GB SSD, LG 34UM95, Acer T232HL, TrackIR 5 Pro, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals.
Exorcet Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I think weapon select by default is the "D" key. C toggles cannon mode on/off. Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files
Pyroflash Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Keep in mind that cannon mode being enabled only changes the HUD symbiology. It does not arm/disarm anything like in the Russian jets. You can still fire missiles while in guns mode and vice versa. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
