fitness88 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 After installing the latest version 1.2.7, flying FC3, Mig-29s, I see smoke coming out of the back of the engines. Do only the Migs have this and how far away does this make you visible to the enemy? Also I noticed the magnetic compass up by the mirror seems to be reversed. Anyone have any info on these 2 points? Thank you.

This is normal and was added in the patch notes as well. Most planes do smoke, but the Russian ones do tend to smoke a bit more. Honestly, it doesn't really make you more visible except in high contrast situations, like when you're flying against a blue sky or white cloud, and even then they still need to be fairly close to see it. For your second point, I don't know but I haven't seen any complaints about it so far either. Also, FYI this should be in the FC3 sub forum.
