JTAC target message

Here's the scenario, JTAC sends target coordinates to my TAD I return with wilco and the red triangle appears. At this point how do I make that target my SPI? I have tried slewing my cursor to it and doing a TMS up short then TMS up long but I keep locking on to the UAV and not the transmitted target. So is there another way to make the target my SPI? I know I can input the coordinates and the UTM into my CDU but there has to be a better way to do it from the TAD. Thanks as always

When you contact the JTAC and hes reading you the 9 Line you are inputting the GRID Coods he gives you so it becomes a Mission Mark Point (Don't know the Terminology). But you have to put the CDU to Mission and Not Flight Plan, then use the UFC and the Steer Rocker to make it your Nav Point. Then Hold C (I Use the Keyboard) and it will slave your TGP to that Mark Point. Then do the TMS Up Long to make that your SPI and Slave your Mav and what not to it you can also do it like that without making your TGP your SPI if you are trying to make your Mav slave to the Mark Point just Hold V once you make your Mark Point your Nav Point. Yeah I really have to Read the Manual so i know the Terminology LOL. Sorry if it doesnt make since this is my first post telling someone anything about this game, and I fell some what competent in the Cockpit so yeah.....

Or... On the TAD, simply slide the cursor over the target and do TMS up long. Now that's your SPI

 

(To clarify, no TMS up short).

Thanks guys but I don't think you have to input the coords in the CDU when they are sent directly to the TAD from JTAC. I will try doing the TMS up long with the cursor but so help me if it locks on that darn UAV again I'm going to shoot it down.

Just move your TAD cursor over it, TMS right (create markpoint) , TMS UP long to set as SPI

I then normal wilco , and cnc to clear red mark (keep things tidy).

 

You can also use China.hat forward and DMS up. With TAD to go into EXP modes for.finer.detail.

 

What UAV? You don't mean the green plane symbol do you?

Not the green plane symbol. I am flying Dragons weapons training HARD and when the JTAC sends coords to my tad and I make it my SPI then go to TGU and china hat forward long, a predator UAV appears in the MFCD screen flying around in circles. This happens every time I try to make the red triangle my SPI. I will try the TMS right and up long to see if that works for me.
