Pajeezy Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I learned first how to start the aircraft via a youtube lesson. Since then I've decided to give the tutorials within DCS a go. Upon finishing the startup, I noticed a couple of things weren't done that were in the other video I watched. For instance, there was no alignment for the navigation system via CDU (LSKR4 followed by LSKL1), the g-meter wasn't calibrated, we simply turned the radios on and didn't do anything else with them etc. Now the aircraft started up still obviously and everything seemed good to go, but I want to make sure I do/have done everything necessary before taxiing out. What should one know that the tutorial doesn't cover?

What should one know that the tutorial doesn't cover? Calibrate G meter? No such thing or maybe I'm not understanding what you're talking about. Also, the CDU starts to align by itself so no reason to initiate it manually during start-up. If you want to use a realistic checklist based on what is applicable from the real world 1A-10C-1CL-1 then use the 476th vFGs aircrew checklist. http://www.476vfightergroup.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=29 v303d Fighter Group Discord | Virtual 303d Fighter Group Website

Pajeezy Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Thanks fellas! I will look into that.
Supersheep Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I think that is zeroize the G meter. I don't normally do that as the taxiing will that again already, but I guess it doesn't hurt either. The PVC Pipe Joystick Stand How to thread
