Large gap between idle throttle and 6600 RPM throttle (max)

has anybody felt the same?

 

when you turn the throttle from next to idle stop to full 6600 (max) the engine starts to respond near the end of the range of rotation of throttle. Is that normal? Compared to older betas, I never had this before.

 

Also, from the cold start position, the throttle is dark and if mousewheel is applied for the very first time it turns bright metallic (well not really ruby red!! :mad:) just, from dull to normal. It stays that way though.

If you put the Governor switch on "AUTO" you meet the result that you explain to us.

If you put the Governor switch on "OFF" you can open the throttle and the power gradually, so I think that everything is OK...

 

With the Governor on "OFF" you can hear the sound of the turbine raise gradually.

 

For your second question I'm sorry but I can't help you...

haha yeah thanks skull you nailed it head-on. the second part was the texture change in the throttle lock gear from a cold start position to first use. I will post a video to explain it.

I thought in governor mode there should be some proportionality between ground idle and flight idle with the throttle corrector. The flight manual has the pilot in governor mode from engine start therefore he shouldn't be turning the governor off in order to properly accelerate the engine to flight idle. It's already been listed as a bug that is being fixed. See link below.
