apoll Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Hi. This is an amazingly realistic simulation of the A 10 from what I can see. But one pretty visible thing that is missing from my perspective, that would really increase the 'suspension of disbelief' factor, is the presence of visible vibrations in the cockpit when passing through turbulence and pulling high G maneouvers. I mean the HUD slightly, but visibly, vibrating...the instruments vibrating etc. I wonder if there is a mod out there that could simulate this effect? Or is it a hard-coded thing that only ED could implement? In any case, I think this would be amazing if someone could make that happen. Just an idea.. apoll
adamcboyd Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Like this? I also saw a German build a two seat platform that was on a gimple or at least with a generator and was able to get the whole platform of plywood move.
Supersheep Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 No, ingame. Have a look at real HUD tapes, and the single best way (ok one of them) to tell if they're real or from DCS is to look at the HUD. If it's real, it doesn't look as clinically-clean because the HUD is shaking in relation to the rest, and the ground. The 476 vFG Youtube channel has videos that perfectly illustrate that. Gerg Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) You can turn on head g effects in options and theres a vibration key command to turn on minor vibrations, although idk if they are on by default and the key command is to turn them off. "Camera jiggle toggle" Left Shift-j The thing about the camera jiggle is it has next-to-no input from the simulation. I haven't had it turned on in internal view for many versions, but last time I tried it the only thing that changes the vibration is how fast you're travelling. There's no extra vibration at all from firing the gun for one.
