can't map flares

For some reason the keymaps for my TM warthog are greyed out so i have to map flare dispense to my cougar MFDs.

 

Anyone else notice this? Any known way to be able to edit a control.lua to add it?

You have to delete your key bindings and remap your keys again. Go to your saved games/dcs/config/input folder and delete everything in the UH-1H folder. Then restart the simulator and let it build a new keyboard and joystick layout.

Same thing to me. And even I delete the entire games/dcs/config/input/UH-1H folder, relaunch the game (even made repair), Still have Flare dispenser and some new fonctions gray for my Warthog Joystick and Throttle. :-(

Go into your -

C:\Users\<Username>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\UH-1H\joystick\

 

Edit the LUA file which is relevant to your stick, and add the following line inside the keyCommands:

 

{combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN8"}}, down = 3006, up = 3006, cockpit_device_id = 50, value_down = 1, value_up = 0, name = "Flare Dispense", category = "Pedestal"},

 

Change the JOT_BTN8 to whatever button number you want it to be, afterwards you'll be able to edit it in the control options for the UH-1H SIM.

I found the issue. I found missing Action Inputs in both files "Throttle - HOTAS Warthog.lua and Joystick - HOTAS Warthog.lua" from default files folder (/DCS World/Mods/aircrafts/Uh-1H/Input/UH-1H) had missing inputs. I removed them, deleted keyboard and joystick folders from (games/dcs/config/input/UH-1H) folder and relaunched the game. All new Action inputs are now available for both Warthog devices. :-)

Thanks Agent_wolf. It works fine but I had too many action inputs missing and for both Warthog devices, I had to find something faster. I found the issue why DCS reinstalled default devices with missing inputs and found the fix.
