jbrking Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Hi, This is the first time I have tried to record a track since the implementation of 1.2.7. Found it to be broken since the patch was released. Once Initiating the recording DCS World runs and then takes me to the tactical map where it is paused. I am then unable to pause (when I try it crashes abruptly). I left it running today when I went to work but when I returned it was still in the tact. map paused but still managed to produce a file that was 132 gig. When I looked at the file I found that it was broken and showed only the loading screen. Any help here would be great.. Would also be great if you people at ED would stop breaking things when you release a patch. Cheers.. Jared Su-27 Flanker 1995 Super EF2000 1997 Jane's F/A-18 1999
WildBillKelsoe Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 this is from multiplayer track? if so it does not record multiplayer track unless you're the host. use fraps instead. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
jbrking Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 Awwww Thanks for the quick reply.. Unfortunately it was an AEF server that was hosting so I guess I am out of luck. Shame too because it was such a good run. I will remember to use FRAPS in future but its use will depend on game performance while recording. I assume there will be significant frame loss. :( Thanks again.. Jared Su-27 Flanker 1995 Super EF2000 1997 Jane's F/A-18 1999
WildBillKelsoe Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 yeah on my 8150 rig with 8 gigs RAM and 2 GB VRAM I usually end up 18-25 fps on recording unless the rig plays stupid and crashes DCS. Just don't record with CBU's dropped. cheers AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Sephki Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I recommend Dxtory with UT Video Codec (or Lagarith) if you can afford the space. Your resulting frame rate should be higher by ignoring compression. Dxtory can be especially useful as well due to its ability to record multiple audio sources at once and keep them separated from another. Cheers

TheRandomSqueak Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Or if you're using an nvidea GPU higher than a 650gtx, you can use shadow play. Wonderful quality with barely any noticeable kind of frame loss
