kontiuka Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Ok. Weird problem. I assigned the Track IR "pause" function to my mouse's scroll wheel. However, when I press my joystick's #3 button, it also triggers "pause". I have an old Microsoft Precision 2 joystick. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar joystick issue.
cichlidfan Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) Because TIR does not know one USB device from another. If you set Pause to USB device one, button 3, then every USB device you have, that has a button three, will Pause TIR. It is the way TIR works, always has. EDIT: This is why it is better to assign a keystroke to TIR functions and then use macros to map the key sequence to a button on something. Problem eliminated. kontiuka Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 Thanks much. I've never worked with macros before though. Is there someplace I can read up on how to use them?
cichlidfan Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 If your mouse is programmable then the manual for the mouse software should be all you need. Otherwise you will need an external program and there is more to it. What kind of mouse is it? kontiuka Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 It's an old (10+ years) Logitech 2 button + wheel mouse. I didn't see anywhere in the settings where you could create macros.
