pauldy Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Good day all^ I'm about to buy Flaming Cliffs 3 in the coming weeks and I'll admit, I've never bought games via digital download before. I have a Credit Card, specifically a Citibank Visa.. So how do I buy? Also, can the modules be donwloaded through Torrent? I'm using BitTorrent btw.. I assume the downloaded modules can be burned in a DVD for future re-installations, say, Hard Drive change right? Thanks ^ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
pauldy Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Null? oh well.. I guess I'll just go and hopefully don't throw away my money in the process.. Anyway, connection is slow due to some damaged submarine cables to our country.. I just wish users have an option to download via torrent since our connection is slow to begin with and not even ideal for online flying... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
cichlidfan Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 To purchase. Click on the DCS logo at the top of the page. The click 'E-shop' on the left. From there is should make sense. You can download before you purchase, you just won't have an activation key until you make the purchase. You are more than welcome to burn copies of the downloaded files to DVD for safekeeping. There is a torrent link for every download, FC3 for example. pauldy Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 -cichlidfan: Thanks for the sharing.. Regarding the activation key, the customer will be given one unique code that will never expire right? as long as it's registered from one computer..? Also, DCS World automatically updates modules to their current versions correct? No need to buy another set of Activation Keys for each module revisions? == I've decided to postpone my purchase and try for next month instead, because our connection is still inconsistent due to damages in APCN 2 submarine cables.. It seems risky to do an online transaction right now when the connection is slow and inconsistent.... Sorry if I seem to be attention-whoring.. I'll just bookmark this thread as reference.. ^^ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
pacotito Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Yes you will receive a serial number when you purchase. You get 10 activations. However you can deactivate for hardware/os changes. In the event you use all 10 activations you receive 1 after 30 days. Yes dcs updates without the need for another activation. You can also do a full reinstall of dcs without using an activation. EtherealN Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 It seems risky to do an online transaction right now when the connection is slow and inconsistent.... The worst that can happen is that the transaction does not go through. Well, it CAN happen that a funds reservation goes through, but since the transaction never does, that reservation will timeout after 5 bank days (maximum) and said funds reappear on your account. (They never left it, just became invisible since they were "reserved".)
