I host a dedicated server for my group and have had no issues for over a year. Now (maybe in the last update?...not sure) after a while clients are claiming that the server is crashing/can't see it in the master list, but there is nothing wrong with the server when I check it. Also, when I get on my gaming computer which is on the same network, I can see it and connect to it just fine.

I'm pretty network illiterate, so I don't know what would be causing this weird behavior. The server is still able to connect to the internet etc. From my end it appears nothing has changed on the server.

Any smart people out there that have any ideas what might be going on here?

I get the same. After 5/10mn, nobody can see my server in the master list, nor can anyone connect by direct IP. This will happen even if some people are happily flying in the server already.

All my ports are open, there should be no problem...

The issue is either with 1) the crappy DCS GUI master server BS

2) my crappy virgin media internet provider and their shitty router.

3) a combination of both those crappy things

I've come across this issue with other players - but have never heard of a solution.

Hi,

is there any solution to this already?

I have a "dedicated" machine running a DCS server in my DMZ. I can connect via my public IP to the server, others can do so also obviously... but I cannot see my server on the server list.

Is this mybe because my client machine has the same public IP as the server machine?

Help appreciated.

Assuming you're running the latest version of the game? How did you upgrade to 1.2.8? Have you tried renaming your DCS / Config folder and restarting the server to check it?

I run the same setup and I know back in the day we had to connect either public or LAN- and the server would show up on LAN but I don't think we've had to do that for awhile.

My first step would be to rename the saved games / DCS / config to "config1" and letting the game rebuild it... see if that resolves. If not, just delete the new one and restore your original config folder by erasing the 1.

Then we go back to the ol' drawing board!

EDIT: We've also had some issues with this Killer e2200 ethernet controller:
