peter Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 TM warthog. Did something change with default key bindings recently? As of a few days ago my pinky button will not engage/disengage NWS OR fire the laser. What commands am I looking for in the key binding options. Laser train? I though the Warthog was all mapped for the A-10C by default in DCS. It has worked like a dream up until a few days ago. Would a re-install solve it, although I detest doing that task. Thank you for the help.
cichlidfan Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 That switch is the NWS Steering Engage/Disengage (the laser stuff is just something else it does) and that is how it is listed. I don't recall the exact name but it is in the HOTAS section. Thank you for the help. Maybe easier and quicker than a reinstall would be checking the controller mappings. For that you will want to check "HOTAS" -> "HOTAS Nosewheel Steering Button".

For that you will want to check "HOTAS" -> "HOTAS Nosewheel Steering Button". Note that if this is controller binding issue, that info is in your Saved Games folder which will not be touched by a reinstall. Also, the repair function should accomplish the same task as a reinstall, with less effort. peter Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 Thank you very much guys. Ill try all of these.
peter Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 Cant figure it out. Tried repair and still the pinky button does not engage/disengage NWS or the laser. Looked at the HOTAS settings in options and it shows as being controlled by that button but still not working. Any ideas? And yes, I do have a TGP pod loaded...lol
cichlidfan Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Try deleting/renaming Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\A-10C\joystick and let the sim recreate a default config. Flagrum Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Check that the button is actually working - perhaps with that windows system control joystick "applet" or just try to re-assign that button to a function in DCS, just to check if it will be reckognized at all.
Wrecking Crew Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I think that button is double assigned in Options Controls. Delete the second assignment and that will fix it... peter Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 The button is working. Checked the device analyzer in TARGET software.
Wrecking Crew Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I recall having to delete the assignment to something odd -- is it Stick To Trimmer Control Mode? Can't remember, but it gets assigned to the Button 3 for both the Warthog Throttle and Stick and I remove that. Try going into Controls for the A-10C Sim and press the button to see what is is assigned to. peter Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 Thats it. I deleted the default profile and had the sim rebuild one. But i did notice that before, stick to trimmer got assigned to JoyBtn 3 for whatever reason. Is all working now, thanks guys.
