Slow download speed?

I don't know If it's me or the updater for the game, but the automatic module updater has an INSANELY slow download speed. I usually download between 600 kb/s to 1 mb/s ( I know. Horrible internet) but this...is just crazy:

Had the same problem earlier downloading the P-51D. I canceled the download, restarted it and it worked at normal speeds.

1mb a second is the best you can hope for in Australia :( funny how you call it horrible in your part of the world! :)

 

Considering the fact that many others in the US get 7 to 8 mb/s, I consider mine slow. It probably doesn't help that I don't live in a very populated area. It is different throughout the world, though!:(

are you all talking megabits (mb/s) or MegaBytes (MB/s) per second? big diffrence 8-p

I am around 0.6-0.7MB/s on phonelines ADSL.

I recommend using steam. I buy my modules on the ED website (so ED makes more) and then transfer the key to steam and download there. Last night when I downloaded 1.2.8 it went at 6MB/s which is about my max download rate.

 

(I have comcast blast which is 50mb/s down 11 mb/s up)
