ED Team f-18hornet Posted April 29, 2014 ED Team Posted April 29, 2014 Don't install DVD version. Use DCS World instead. You will get latest updates for A-10C. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/world/ http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/modules/dcs_a10c_warthog/ AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, GeForce RTX 2080Ti, 32 GB DRAM, HOTAS TM Warthog, FSSB R3 Lighting, MFG Crosswind, Win 10 Pro
cichlidfan Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 While I agree with F-18 (the version on DVD is very old), you should still be able to install the DVD version. What OS are you running? ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme 8GB, Corsair HX1000i, Phillips BDM4065UC 40" 4k monitor, VX2258 TouchScreen, TIR 5 w/ProClip, TM Warthog, VKB Gladiator Pro, Saitek X56, et. al., MFG Crosswind Pedals #1199, VolairSim Pit, Rift CV1
Shane45 Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 a10c wont install from dvdrom Thanks for the quick response guys, I'm running Win 7, Home Prem. 64bit GeForce GT 635M Intel core i5 2450m @ 2.50ghz 6gb RAM. I've installed it twice already appreciated
cichlidfan Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 That is odd. I would still give the DCS World download a shot. It is far more current and may produce better results. If the problem still exists, then I would open a support ticket here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/ The way the new system works is that you first install DCS World which is a free environment for all DCS modules (like the A-10C). Once that is installed, you install the DCS A-10C module. Your key from the DVD will work, though it won't ask for it until you attempt to actually fly a mission. Shane45 Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 I don't suppose it would be anything to do with the fact that I have MODMAN installed ? I've been loading skins/ soundpacks etc for my lomac
cichlidfan Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I don't suppose it would be anything to do with the fact that I have MODMAN installed ? I've been loading skins/ soundpacks etc for my lomac I have never used Modman but, based on what it does, I would be inclined to doubt it would cause an issue like that.
