converting beta to release from the dcs_updater

Thanks for the guide for conversions at http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030

 

I was on 1.2.8 RC3 beta until recently then the updater took me to this version just now;"branch": "openbeta",

"version": "1.2.8.27203.421",

"timestamp": "20140427-073521"

 

From autoupdate.cfg

 

 

So it's close to the release version listed in Chizh's release post, but i'm still labelled as beta.

 

 

I tried the following;

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin>dcs_updater.exe update release:1.2.8.27203

 

 

 

And the updater opens and closes very quickly, no other action.

 

 

My autoupdatelog.txt has no entry for today but I can see the older updates.

 

 

I had uninstalled release due to space shortage on the SSD. I was hoping I could convert open beta to release somehow.

 

 

 

Anyone have any ideas? What is the effect of running multiplayer with the beta tag?

If you're already running 1.2.8.27203.421 it doesnt need to download anything.

 

If anything all it did was modify the autoupdate.cfg file so that it will download any Release Branch Patches.
